Notice from Camden County Schools: Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay is conducting training exercises on Thursday, March 8, at 4PM. There will be simulated gunfire used as part of the training. Camden County Schools wish to share this information to reduce concern or confusion regarding this drill and the associated noise coming from the base.

Last week the Camden County Sheriff's Office, Camden County GA held a memorial and dedication for the Camden County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit at the CCSO Substation on Hwy 40 in St. Marys. We are thankful for their service to our community!
On February 22, 2018 a K-9 memorial ceremony was held at the Camden County Sheriff's Office Substation. The ceremony was attended by a large crowd of citizens.... The ceremony included the dedication of the memorial, presentation of K-9 badges by Sheriff Jim Proctor, and a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Willard K-9 Hotel. Sheriff Jim Proctor stated "The K-9 program is funded by donations from caring individuals and groups that desire for the program to remain active and solvent. Thanks to all that attended the ceremony, and who support the efforts of the Camden County Sheriff's Office K-9 Program."
