I have officially become the Rodman Design Collaborative and rebranded my website. Please stop by and check out the focused site navigation, contract services, and be sure to pass along the word so that I can help your designer friends complete their work in budget and in time. Thanks for sharing!

Excuse me for the less recent portfolio. My newer adapted portfolio is on my computer at HP.

New landing page for my website. Check it out. Going for an image based instead of info based navigation. Still much to change so stay tuned for two photography pages to be released this week (Missouri Botanical Garden visit & visit to @citygarden in St. Louis) as well as imagery from this semesters awesome studio.

This past week was certainly a whirlwind of technical skill building and travels. I had the opportunity to travel to Indiana and Ohio so that I could visit four design firms. Studio also kicked into high gear as we continue to refine our master plan design, section drawings and site callout designs.…

As I write this I am becoming more conscience of that fact that we (designers) so often simplify our efforts and ideas into a few visually engaging images or artifacts. Over the past two years I have been exploring hand and digital graphics within the field of landscape architecture and other simila...

Great interview with Peter Walker this afternoon. Now I just have to turn it into an article and distribute it to the masses. Man he had some good stuff to share.

Looking forward to interviewing Peter Walker tomorrow from PWP Landscape Architecture. Look for the interview to be posted on my website in the ensuing weeks.

A photographer at Fordham asked her peers to write down the microaggressions they've encountered. Here is what they had to say.

Attending the Landscape Architecture Program at the University of Tennessee has been fantastic. Such a great group of faculty, staff, and students. Check out this website to see how the College of Architecture and Design students have been engaging the community.…/DemonstrationProjects.aspx

Diverse partners from across East Tennessee have come together to share their solutions though the creation of transferable projects, designs and plans that will serve as implementation models for neighboring communities

Please throw out some ideas if you have any. I would love to hear from any and everyone.

Just found a website in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park which indicates their major research needs. YAY!!!!! The issue now is to figure out how to conne...ct (and which ones) these other resources together to develop an amazing thesis. I am open to any and all ideas. (UTK classes on sociology, Geography/GIS, hydrology, systems, transportation) funding possibly from (, HALS, a local USGS scholarship which is due on the 20th, the Student Conservation association, Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance, or the garden club of America, or the Landscape Architecture Foundation.) My interests are in habitats, restoration efforts, documentation, watershed issues, resources resiliency, visitor experience, traffic congestion, or even climate change. ok.......go. ???

To say that this semester has been grueling would be an understatement. My classmates and I have been yearning for our winter break. Among the many courses that we took (Planting Design, Urban Social Geography, Advanced Grading and Drainage, Intro. to Sustainable Design Thinking, and more) studio wa...

I am sure I talk about this group a lot, but if you haven't had the chance to check out this blog by the winter crew up at Mt. Leconte in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park you are missing out. Over the past few years I have loved experiencing their home on the mountain top from down at the bottom. I hope to get up there some time this winter and camp. A big thanks to the crew up there!…/light-it-up-like-were-the-st…
