Cardinal Pine Farm has completed its harvest last week. The bines are gone, the hop field cleaned. The grand total of hops harvested 2017 is 258 pounds wet. We have been servicing and cleaning the hammer mill and pelletizer in preparation for the final processes. Our third harvest of Columbus hops today produced four 5 gallon buckets, for a total of 15 5 gallon buckets for this season. Next week we should complete the Columbus and start on the Centennials. The following hops are in the freezer, in cone form, air dried and vacuum sealed. The weight is measured in wet hop weight, which may vary some in present condition at $20.00 per lb.

We will mhave the final harvest this Saturday, Sept 10,2016, starting at 9:00 am and ending at noon with pizza and craft beer from Brewmasters in Wilson. We will have the hops signs out at the road. Due to the possibility of high winds and heavy rains, we have decided to postpone this weekends Hops Harvest. We apologize for the inconvenience and we will be emailing everyone that registered later today. Again, we are very sorry that we had to make this decision, but the safety of those coming outweighed the risks of having the event on Saturday.
