“Fire it up”
Is the term of endearment and encouragement most often heard from Chef Eric Levine “AKA” The Phoenix.
No matter how many times this Chef Eric Levine has been challenged and pushed to give up on catering and living, he doesn't. Chef Eric keeps coming back better and stronger every time. That’s why I call him The Phoenix!...
The first time I met Chef Eric was at Catersource. I was taken back -- in fact a bit a intimated, and humbled. I am getting to meet this renowned Chef, caterer, author of Stick it, Spoon it, Put it in a Glass, Food Network CHOPPED Champion, five time cancer survivor, a parent, and many more accomplishments. I felt so humble.
Immediately he set me at ease. He is approachable, interested, personal able, funny and then there are these other Zen like, in the moment qualities, I admire -- such as a pushing for quality and a quest for music, living and encouragement. Perhaps gained form his one-of-kind journey.
Chef Eric Levine is coming to the Forum Meet & Greet on Sunday Evening. Besides a chance to meet other forum readers Chef Eric is drawing for a lucky winner of his book Stick it, Spoon it, Put it in a Glass, valued at $49.95. Chef Eric will sign the winning book and even pose for a few photos. Plus he will be around to talk with.
Bring your questions for an informal give and take. I promise you will be inspired!
If you have an unsigned copy of his book, bring it along and Chef will autograph for if you are at the Forum Meet & Greet. If you don’t have a copy yet -- quickly get one from either the Catersource book store on line http://catersourcestore.miiduu.com/stick-it-spoon-it-put-it… or near the conference registration. My copy is close to my desk as it is one of the ten most referenced books I use in planning out events.
So you have a choice on Sunday evening as the general welcome reception closes, hit the tables, walk the strip, grab a bite or you could meet and hang out with caterers like yourself at the Forum Meet & Greet in The Mirage Hotel.
Plus at the forum Meet & greet you will meet some of the seasoned pros like Meryl Snow, Jack Milan and the legendary Mike Roman -- who like to play it forward, because many of them found years ago the Forum, was the go to place and sanctuary for unbiased answers to questions about all aspects of catering. Besides Chef Eric, come meet and get to know some of the other seasoned pros all gathering at the Forum Meet & Greet!
