Chris Woodcock is testing out an etching of one of my cathedrals on a skateboard plank (is that the right word?). I think it's sexy as hell and wanted to share with all of you. If this goes well perhaps we'll start seeing etched cathedral skateboards all over the country! (a respectable goal I think)

It’s easy to get lost in the intricate details of these mesmerizing Brian Scott Pittman drawings! Each work is uniquely framed and signed by the artist himself. ❤️⛪️❤️

This.....Ya'll gotta read and see this. I'm so damned proud of it and hope you can come see them and share some wine with us tonight despite the rain and all the other goings on.

With Intention....a collaboration between Brian Scott Pittman and Jason Amos Oaks. April 22, 2017 at the Mary Boyce Temple House-7:00-10:00pm. First come firs...t serve but we will have wine and fancy cheese. I am not one to be proud of much. My mind always wonders what's the next thing we can make better, who can I help today, how can we make this day better or this space nicer? This show though....now that it's hung? I am button popping proud. Even if you just come to look at them, we would be honored for your time and a hug.

These were the consummate challenge for us both. Neither one of us really collaborate with others and we had to endure each other's style, not just in art and hand but also working style. You know, while you live your life, plan your wedding, work your job(s), see the doctor. It was NOT an easy task to say the least. I think poor Jason Amos Oaks lost a few brain cells from the chemicals and paint he used to enliven my strict Catholic School Teacher style of rendering. While my tendonitis has returned digging filthy pencil lead into wood and paint where I am accustomed to a lighter less tedious work atmosphere. Haha. But I'll be a monkeys uncle if our collaboration hasn't merged into something truly unique and beautiful.

Jason Amos Oaks never ceases to amaze me and I hope he might tolerate me again one day but for now we are both exhausted, emotionally fried, and looking so forward to sharing our work with the world. One night only, one chance offer. Tonight here at the Mary Boyce Temple House-7:00-10:00. Do come see us and enjoy our work we've done together to share with all of you. Hey, you may even like one enough to buy it and gaze upon it for the rest of your life.

"Primary Faith"......our collaboration tryptic. Three boards, red, blue, and yellow, with three distinct takes of my work on the boards Amos Oaks built and rendered in his hand. Now that my work is done on this he has taken them back to his studio for his overlay and sealing. These pieces shall be offered together as a family or individually depending upon the buyers option. Pricing and all the other images will be posted a few days prior to the show April 22nd. I am so excited.

"Warm & Cool".....the final product of our collaboration. Many layers of work and a bit of a struggle on each of our parts. But we are kicking butt and gettin...g them all done. All three public rooms of the Temple House will have some of my art, some of his art, and at least 20 collaboration pieces from tiny to huge. We will announce pricing and all the images a few days prior to the event on April 22nd. I am really really proud of this collaboration.

What a great story. Alan always does a good job and Nanci is a super star. I just love working with Rala: Regional and Local Artisans and am so excited about the new store.

An established downtown business has settled into a new location. Here's a look: http://insideofknoxville.com/…/rala-is-open-for-business-a…/

Last December, Nanci Solomon, owner of Rala, announced that the business would leave its home of seven years on Union Avenue for a new location in the Old City. The decision came on the heels of th…

Today's snow has cleared away a full calendar day of events so we are going to turn up the heat, tidy up the house, and spend the day doing art. Just art art art.

This is the one Sara Martin helped me get onto my business cards years ago. Well done my dear, well done.

Originals & prints oh my!! Liz-Beth has them all kids. That floor plan is not only my first one but is #100. I am approaching 700 original cathedrals since 2005.

Once you have more than five it's time to start thinking collage. haha This one a great patron of mine and I did together which started the whole idea of cathedral collages. I have done a few now but all in increments. I'm thinking about starting to design and arrange collages and sell them instead of individually but rather as a set. I know it would be expensive but I do think someone somewhere would rather get a set. If they ever do I'll come to their house and hang it myself! Just like I did this one. Happy Tuesday kids!

A friend called me this weekend asking about what would be a good wedding gift. Though it's not for everyone I figured that to be a sign for me to announce to everyone my newest directive in my art. I am now drawing wedding spires. Two spires, the same in shape and proportion but each, with their own personalities and style. Just like a bride and groom, two grooms, or two brides. We all different yet still very similar. But these two spires combine together forming a base. A strong connected base as a symbol of the marriage. I know it's all ethereal and theory but with my hand to it but I thought it might be the time just at the beginning of the wedding season to make this announcement.
