I've been coming here with my family for last ten years. This is the first year oct. 2017 where we had a nice camp host. We have never liked any of the other host the last 10 years but Lydia has been kind and helpful. What a difference it makes when you're coming to get away from it all. The camp is clean and beautiful. Thanks Lydia. See More

The woman that was about my age (Senior Citizen) who was standing outside of the shack, (Cave Springs) was down right rude. She seriously needs an attitude adjustment. I will never go here just becaus...e of her attitude and how rude she was to my husband, 45 year old daughter and I. Extremely disrepectful woman! See More

We had such a great girls weekend at Manzanita Campgrounds. Brian, the camp host, is so awesome! He was so helpful in directing us to the best hikes in the area and also great company at the campfire.... The bathrooms were clean and all the campsites were taken care of. We defiantly will plan another trip there soon! ... Also, be sure to ask Brian about the Vortexes! See More

I never write reviews but I felt particularly pissed and wanted to express my disappointment here in case anyone looking for a quiet time is considering this place.

Our first night at cave springs fabulous, however, our second night was literally a nightmare. Part of the rules are that you are not allowed to play music or be loud after 10 - however this is not enforced. At about six pm just as we were settling in, a car full of three individuals clearly not looking to camp but to get wasted/high ( we are in our mid-twenties with no children so we're definitely not judging) came in. They proceeded to start blasting music, which we ignored assuming they would eventually quiet off. However late into the night they went. Another camp of wasted people was also shouting into the night. We even thought at one point they were going to come to our site as one of the men was screaming and fighting with several other camp goers. We wouldn't have had a problem with some general noise and people enjoying themselves but the blatant partying with no consequence was disheartening as we'd traveled nearly 2000 miles to enjoy a camping trip in Sedona. Not to mention the crowd across from us brandished machetes. Disappointing. See More

Cave Spring Campground is a fantastic place to camp and fish for troutj and enjoy the beauty of Oak Creek Canyon. We enjoy walking to the campgrounds small store for ice cream and supplies. We have ca...mped at Cave Springs since 1977, when the campground had only dirt roads. We live upstream from the Campground about 9 miles, on Pumphouse Wash, the main tributary of Oak Creek. See More

Doug & Connie are amazing grounds keepers, Oak creek Canyon is one of the best places to get away in Sedona! Both times we have stayed at Manzanita Campgrounds they have been more than helpful and won...derful people to interact with. The grounds are kept nicely and neat, the bathrooms are very clean as long as their is respectful others at the campgrounds... Wonderful area's to adventure and explore from the camp area, two awesome swimming holes and quite a few gorgeous secret areas that are to be found here! We love this place and it makes a great alternative for when Cave Springs is closed for the season. If you ever see us in Site #5, come on by and say Hey! :] We will absolutely be back! See More

Mark Trennepohl, ADOT's statewide road weather manager, shares this scene from I-40 west of Flagstaff. Conditions are hazardous with snow falling. Slow down for safety if you must travel through this area. But waiting out a storm is the safest option.

A winter storm will impact the region over the next 24 hours, bringing healthy, soaking rain and mountain snow. Snow levels will remain above 8000’ for much of ...the storm limiting snow amounts around Flagstaff. Rain will turn to snow after midnight down to 6000’ with 1-3” on the ground by sunrise tomorrow. The heavy precipitation shifts into eastern AZ after midnight and lingers into the day tomorrow. Dry and warmer weather quickly returns for the end of week.

"A day of fishing was a Christmas gift from my son Cody. I am a lucky Dad."

Mark S. sent this report and picture from Saturday's trip to Dankworth Pond near, one of many waters we're stocking with rainbow trout through the winter. Hardly a better present for Dad, if we do say so.
