Donkey Love!
Some of our rescues are a continuation of someone else's rescue. Cody was found alone as a chick, rescued and lived safe and well with his new family and best friend Chelsea. As he grew into adulthood, the new family realized he would be happier roaming free. He could not yet be put out in the wild because he did not know how to fish, fly, or live on his own. When they brought him to us, he has been able to grow a step at a time and now runs the property with three ponds. He has not really understood that he is a duck yet. When we introduce him to other ducks, he just follows us! Cody loves to be talked to and petted. He sometimes gets confused and wants to mate with your leg! (I think he spent too much time watching a dog). It is best to keep a safe distance unless you know how to handle him.
Cody's first adventure to the big pond! One step closer to being released back into the wild!

Celestial Farms is open during the week to our registered students from 6 AM to 6 PM as well as scheduled field trips and events. We are open to the public on Saturdays from 9 AM to 3:30 PM for free tours, community events and private parties. We are closed Sunday's.

Celestial Farms grows healthy nurturing children by demonstrating the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual benefits of farming. By caring for animals, children will learn about unconditional love and responsibility. In the gardens, children will learn how to be self-reliant and delayed gratification. Most importantly, children will learn healthy eating habits and from where their food comes.
