This was my fifth time at the Central Coast Writers' Conference and it is absolutely my favorite time of the year. It beats Thanksgiving and Christmas - and I'm... not saying it lightly, since, obviously, I probably offended half of my family with that statement. The 2016 CCWC was fantastic. Speakers, volunteers, attendees, venue, location - all of it made me feel like I was a part of a big, loving, crazy fun family. You learn SO much, you make connections you wouldn't dream about, and you feel so inspired afterwards that you just have to create, no matter what. It is a very affordable conference that delivers. If you are thinking about attending, think no more and just sign up, you will not regret it. Big thanks to the organizers and everyone who made this conference such a great experience! See More

I've been to 3 writing conferences and this one was by far, the best. The highlight for me was meeting and casually chatting with published authors. The parti...cipants were also so fun-loving and interested in each other. It made for some lively conversations that informed and inspired. My favorite breakouts were the ones with overheads, handouts and a steady stream of information. Eldonna Edwards on "Truth be Told" comes to mind and Linda Perret on "Starting and Finishing Your Non-Fiction Book". Wish I could have attended many more. Next time for the fun of it, will check out the screen writing blocks. Not just writers but anyone who reads would enjoy this conference. Thanks! See More

Amazing! Great speakers and information! Everyone was super nice and so very helpful. I finally feel like I will be able to finish my novel with all of the help I recieved. This is really a must for any writer.

Awesome variety of writing topics from poetry to screenwriting to memoir to young adult and more! Deliciously catered lunch, friendly staff and amazing instruct...ors. Loved the Saturday night soiree. The panelists did a fabulous job of organically engaging in a conversation that felt both intimate and audience-inclusive. Book fair dovetailed nicely with the conference and I enjoyed participating in the non-fiction panel brilliantly moderated by Janice. A+ to new director Teri Bayus for taking risks and freshening up content and staff. :) See More

Great info that I couldn't get anywhere else, lots of informal time to chat with agents and authors. Super fun improv class with Aaron Metchik where we did an improv convo for two characters in my book! I'm definitely coming back next year.

Provided a wealth of information and knowledge. Enjoyed the casual conversations and the meeting of so many people sharing the same goals. My main focus was on marketing my new novel and I did not leave disappointed. Looking forward to next year!!

I came back from this spectacular weekend fired up about the writers i met AND my own writing. This hardly ever happens after conferences.

I HIGHLY recommend this as an event where writers can learn, network and get inspired!

My 4th year at this amazing conference might have been my favorite. Top notch staff, high quality workshops that participants were crowing about all weekend long, wonderfully integrating new technologies. I loved every moment. Highly recommend.

I was most involved in the Book and Author Fair on Sunday and was overwhelmed with the talent that was there. I am anxious to read the many interesting books I ...purchased at the fair. I was not able to attend the panels, but my husband said they were excellent and that Jan K could easily be a professional moderator! See More

Good con, good people. Plus I've bring my brain in a vat full of dark, dark, dark, dark coffee, which means my mouth will be dispensing wisdom at 145wpm... ;)
