What an awesome week of soccer with Challenger British Soccer Camp.

As the President of Harrah Soccer Club in Oklahoma, I wanted to say how impressed I was wit...h the coaches who came out and the quality of developmental skills they provided to our players. From knowing every kids name the first day to enduring the triple digit heat, Grant and James exceeded my expectations. We will definitely use Challenger again.

As a parent, I was impressed at the attention they showed to each player and how they personally connected by making each kid excited to come back the next day. My boys enjoyed the fun homework they assigned and I know they were all sad it was over.

Did I mention it was over 100 degrees!

My son Liam just finished his week at camp in Maine and absolutely loved it. He adores Coach Gavin and says he cannot wait to do it again and hopes Coach Gavin ...comes back next year. Thank you to all of the coaches that made this week special for the kids. I know mine at least can be a handful but his coach never once lost his patience with them. This was Liam's first experience in organized sports and we couldn't have been happier with the week. Cheers, guys. See More

0ur 3 and a half year old dsughter just attended the camp this past week. It was an amazing experience for her. Coach Daniel did an amazing job with the young o...nes, it was entertaining, fun filled and very physical. First time she broke a sweat from physical activity. All week she has napped for 3 straight hours after the game and her appetite has been amazing. We are definitely signing her up next year! See More

My son attended the British soccer camp in Poland, Ohio this week and loved it! Coaches Joe, James, Jamie, and Shawn were absolutely amazing with the kids. I ...was so impressed with their professionalism and passion. I can't say enough good about it. Along with soccer skills, they emphasized respect, sportsmanship, and integrity. Tying in "Wacky Wednesday" and "Flag Friday" made it that much more fun. Thank you so much for giving my son this experience! Already looking forward to next year!! See More

My son had so much fun at his British Soccer Camp. He was so sad when the week was over. Coach Luke and Coach Owen were amazing with all the children. My son ca...nnot wait to go back next year! The price of the camp was very reasonable. My son made many friends during this week. If your child loves soccer then this is the perfect camp for him or her. Thank you so much Challenger Sports for this amazing experience! See More

Hosted 2 great gals from Britain for a week, they were polite and so much fun. The Challenger sports program was top notch from start to finish. The gals had us in stitches the entire week and our boys learned a lot while attending their awesome camp. Thanks from the Tamblin family.

My boys (ages 7 & 8) just finished the British soccer camp! They absolutely loved it, as did I. We will definitely be going again next year. Grant and James great with the kids! It was impressive that they knew everyone's name by the first day! The drills and games they did were fun while challenging and improving each player regardless of age and level! Thanks again guys! Can't wait until next year! See More

My girls (age 6 & 7) just finished British Soccer Camp in North Augusta and absolutely loved it. They have done other soccer camps before that they liked but ...they truly loved this one all thanks to Coach Ben and Coach Matt! We will definitely be attending again next summer and my girls are hoping they get the same coaches again. I was really impressed today that they all got certificates with a written note from Coach Ben that showed that he really got to know the kids and paid attention to their strengths and abilities. This was my daughters first time, and the coaches, coach Scott and coach Bryan made it the greatest experience for her. Not only did she have a time of her life... but I enjoyed watching it as well. We even had a parents vs. kids on the last day. She was sad that it was only a week long and will miss the coaches. I really hope they continue this.. See More

I worked for challenger sports for a summer and then a full year as an Academy trainer. The kids I worked with were all fantastic. I enjoyed it tremendously. It...'s a fantastic opportunity to develop your children's skill, with a strong emphasis on the fun factor. Great exp for work. The only negstive exp i had was 1 coordinator was difficult, i got told not to show 1 morning to allow coach indepdenence and got wronged for...but you ride through that and think that the kids come 1st. Fantastic company. See More

My granddaughter had fun but did not learn anything or get any individual coaching. They set up four teams and two small fields. All they did was watch them play soccer and offer no coaching. This was a waste of money

Our son loved the soccer camp in Fraser Lake last week!! He couldn't wait for each day despite the enormous blisters he had on his feet. Thank you to all the coaches for modelling sportsmanship and playing a sport for enjoyment. He desperately wants to be back next year.

The Sunday Skills School...this week the 'Fake Stanley Matthews' adapted move from one named after a legend of the game... Sir Stanley Matthews, CBE (1 February 1915 – 23 February 2000) was an English footballer. Often regarded as one of the greatest players of the British game, he is the only player to have been knighted while still playing football, as well as being the first winner of both the European Footballer of the Year and the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year awards. Matthews' nicknames included "The Wizard of the Dribble" and "The Magician".
The Tuesday Coaches Tip... Organization: Two to Three players are stationed at each corner of a 15 yard square. Begin by using only one ball. Player One passes to Player Two and follows their pass. Player Two lays the ball gently back towards Player One and loops around their corner cone. The advancing Player One plays a lead pass in front of them (Give & Go). Player Two then continues the routine by passing to the player at the next corner and following their pass. Progression: 1. Change the direction of the passing and encourage players to use their weaker foot. 2. Introduce a second ball at the opposite corner. Coaching Points: - Play the initial pass firmly and directly to the feet of the player at the corner. - Use the pace of the ball and guide it with your first touch towards the next corner. (1) - Absorb the impact of the ball and lay it off gently to the advancing passes. (3) - Take care to play the final pass with the correct pace and angle to allow the player to pass it first time without breaking stride.

The Tuesday Coaches Tip...Pass - Pass - Shoot...

Set up a goal at each end of a half field or large grid, with a keeper in each goal. Lines are formed on either side of both goals and two players are positioned in the middle of the field. The keeper rolls the ball in front of Player One who takes a touch and then passes to Player Two. Player Two lays the ball off to the side and the advancing Player One plays another pass to Player 3. Player 3 sets up Player One... for a shot on goal. Both lines work continuously.

1. Change the direction of the attack and force players to pass and shoot with their other foot.

Coaching Points:
- Focus on accuracy before power.
- Try using the inside of the foot to placed the ball inside the front post.
- Drive the ball using the laces to the far post.
