Labor Day, 2017, in our RV pulling a tow car, that we disconnected at the lower level, same as the couple did traveling with us. Upon arrival and set up, female park ranger, named Cassie, said we nee...ded to pay 7.00 a day for our RV and our towed cars, because we didn't actual tow them up to the designated camping spots. She harassed, and called up 3 more park rangers, for almost two hours. Kinda just left us with a bad taste, and will not be back and will not ever recommend this park. It was crazy. We ended up only paying additional 7.00 for the RV, and not the towed cars. Didn't matter she done ruined our stay. See More

This was my first visit here! WOW! Beautiful, peaceful and lotsa deers, wild turkeys, and trails are amazing for hiking! Clean campground, with clean bathrooms! The only down fall was that every morni...ng at 6:30am you hear the revelry from the army base not far away. Other than that it was really amazing! Will definately go again! See More

The park pretty much doesnot allow dogs.. because 80% of the trails are prohibited. I had to kept driving around and find a trails where i can walk my dog... the walking trail is okay... nothing speci...al. Probably a good place for biking and basic running exercise. See More

A beautiful, clean and thoughtfully laid out campground. Tents sites are private and well arranged for privacy. The facilities are modern and clean. Lovely boulders and wild flowers make the landsc...ape very special. Roomy, large RV campsites that are clean and level. Can't wait to come back next year! See More

Such a beautiful place. Our campsite was clean, beautiful, and had an amazing view of the Springs down below. We had two dogs and we're allowed to walk them on some of the surrounding trails. Definite...ly vote for that! See More

Paid for our car and RV site at a fair price of $35 for both. Decided to extend our stay and was charged an additional $7 because the RV has a motor? The reasoning just seemed off and completely unnec...essary. Other than that it was a great trip. See More

Shame on the people who leave their smelly poop bags on the trail!!!! Totally ruins the experience to see and smell that. If you can't pack it out to a dumpster leave your dog at home.

Great job with the archery range and the junior archery range. Very clean very well done. Money well spent. I remember when you had to go up the road and shoot on the other side.

This is one of the most amazing parks. The volunteers are amazing, polite, knowledgeable, and just wonderful people. Ranger Darcy is fantastic. My niece came to visit for a month and I brought her to ...the park for the Jr. Ranger program and she completed her program with the help of these wonderful people. Thank you for making my niece feel important and encouraging her to love nature and animals. See More

Terrific place. First class in every way. Lots of trails to choose from and they had on a trial period some trails for dogs which we loved, hope they will keep them going.

One of many great Colorado state parks. Amazing trail system for mountain biking, trail running and hiking. Trails are extremely well marked and meticulous maintained. Great place to go if you don't w...ant to head into the back country for some outdoor adventure. Just a short drive from northern Colorado springs where I live. Will definitely be back to explore some more trails in the very near future. See More

Skilled* birders needed this Saturday for the annual Christmas bird count!
*amateur birders ok too, bring your passion, binoculars, and a bird book! 🤫🦅🦉🐦

Debra Ackley to Cheyenne Mountain State Park

This Saturday, December 16th at 8:30 is the Christmas Bird Count. We could use some more bodies to help cover the park. We'll meet at the Visitor's Center.

An annual State Parks pass is a wonderful way to solidify your commitment to getting outdoors - gaining unlimited entry into every Colorado State Park (41). You can also gift a parks pass to someone special to you. http://ow.ly/TeHc30hcTIZ

Beginning in 2017 park passes will have a new look and feel and will need to be displayed on or in your vehicle as detailed below.
