PLEASE VOTE My Closing Argument My name is Chuck Eddy I’m a 68 year old married white guy with a BA in International Relations. I’ve been married to the same woman for almost 47 years. We have a daughter, a son-in-Law and a grandson. I’m a Lifelong Republican. I am asking fellow Republicans, both Moderates like me, and Conservatives, as well as Republican-Leaning Independents and formerly Trump-voting Conservative Democrats to join me in voting for Joe Biden. Here’s why. I was a Republican before Donald Trump and I fully expect to be a Republican again after Donald Trump. But for right now, I’m what you can call a Biden Republican. Republican Presidents used to be strong leaders, engaged with the World and worked to bring our country together. Richard Nixon started the Environmental Protection Agency and helped open up China. Ronald Reagan was the Great Communicator and helped bring down the Berlin Wall and end the Cold War. George Bush brought us together after the Radical Islamic terrorist attack on 9/11 without attacking Muslims here and abroad. Donald Trump has among many many bad statements and policies: •alienated our Allies. They no longer look to us for leadership •ruined many businesses and farmers with indiscriminate Chinese, Canadian and European tariffs •Attacked our honorable military with his insults to John McCain and calling people who served “suckers” and “losers”. I have veterans and active duty in my family, as do many of yours, and they are Not “suckers” and “losers. •In the midst of this worldwide Covid19 Pandemic, He is seeking to take health coverage away from 23 million Americans by having the Supreme Court Completely get rid of the Affordable Care Act. In the midst of the Pandemic he wants to strip healthcare away, without any program to immediately replace it. none. •in the midst of this worldwide Pandemic, by asking the Supreme Court to get rid of the Affordable Care Act, he will also strip away protection for pre-existing conditions from all Americans, again without any protection replace it. •Allowed Covid19 to run rampant without the better response most other countries have had. As of now, we are already 9,200,000 cases and 231,000 dead Americans due to Covid19. And the cases are growing at a high rate again. ~Our country is the 10th worst country in the World at 713 dead Americans per million people from Covid19. ~The world average for all 190 countries with cases is only 155 per million, and this includes many countries with minimal medical facilities compared to our very advanced medical establishments. ~South Korea reported their first case of Covid19 the same day we did, January 20th. The have lost only 468 South Koreans due to Covid19, only 9 per million people. ~Trump has completely given up on fighting Covid19. His Chief Of Staff Mark Meadows even said, "We are not going to control the pandemic.” ~They are solely focusing on a vaccine, of which we have yet to have one ready to go. In fact, people like Dr. Anthony Fauci have said while we may have a vaccine approved by the end of the year, it will probably not be until the middle of next year before a sizable percent of Americans will be vaccinated, at the earliest. •Destroyed our economy with his bad response to Covid19. We still have over 8 million people out of work, who lost their jobs due to Covid19. Folks, this is a failed President. We cannot allow our children and grandchildren to suffer any longer under Donald Trump. We must vote him out. We also need to vote out all the Trumpian Republicans that have given him free rein. •They didn’t protest his poor handling of Covid19 and 231,000 Americans died unnecessarily. •The Republican controlled Senate adjourned without an additional stimulus check or help for state or local governments. Police, firefighters, teachers, local Medical and health department personnel will lose their jobs without the support for state and local governments. In the midst of the Pandemic. •The Republicans in the House and Senate tried to strip away health coverage from 23 million Americans and eliminate protection for pre-existing conditions for all Americans. They failed through legislation because of Moderate Republican Senator John McCain’s thumbs down. ~And yet, if the Supreme Court does get rid of the Affordable Care Act, the Republicans have no plan to replace it. They aren’t protecting our pre-existing conditions. And you know what’s pre-existing like high blood pressure and sleep apnea (My personal pre-existing conditions)!? ~Having tested positive for Covid19. ~Having had symptoms of Covid19 and been treated for it ~Having been Hospitalized with Covid19. ~The Congressional Republicans have neither proposed or passed a plan to protect pre-existing conditions. This year, even as a Lifelong Republican, I am supporting all Democrats to turn out these Republicans who sat by and allowed Donald Trump’s ineffective Covid19 response to ravage our country. And I am also supporting all Kentucky Legislative Democratic candidates to defeat all Republican candidates, because the Republicans are or will fight Governor Beshear’s successful programs to keep Covid19 down as much as possible, and certainly much better than neighboring states. I am supporting: •Democrat Amy McGrath to replace Mitch McConnell who laughed through his debate about not passing additional Stimulus programs. •Democrat Dr. Alexandra Owensby to replace Thomas Massie who opposes relief measures that even 99% of Democrats and Republicans support. •Democrat Josh Hicks to replace Andy Barr who lies about protecting pre-existing conditions. He hasn’t. •In Kentucky Legislative races, I’m supporting Democrats to give Governor Andy Beshear and Dr. Stack the support they need to continue fighting Covid19. Unfortunately the Republicans have fought the mask mandate and gathering limitations that have helped Kentucky be more successful that her Republican-governed neighboring states: Deaths/ Mask Million Mandate National 713 No Indiana 648 7/27 Tennessee 491 No Ohio 459 7/23 Kentucky 333 7/9 •Democrat Jason Stroude to replace anti-public education Damon Thayer State Senate #17 •Write In Debby Lucas Angel to replace No Mask and Militia-lover Savannah Maddox State House #61 •Re-Elect Democrat Cherlynn Stevenson Over Aaron Yates who has viciously Lied about Miss Stevenson and will obstruct Governor Beshear and Dr. Stack at every turn. House #88 •Democrat Kory Miller House #50 •Democrat Lydia Coffey House #54 •Democrat Susan Westrom House #79 •Democrat Paula Clemons-Combs #91 •Non-Partisan Dr. Arnold Farr Fayette County School Board #5 For right now I am a Kentucky Republican supporting those Democratic candidates I believe will do best by Kentucky. As I said at the beginning. I’m a Lifelong Republican. I was a Republican before Trump and expect to be again after Trump. But, for right now I am a Biden Republican. Please join me for Kentucky and America. Thank you.

I recorded this for Republican Voters Against Donald Trump. I’m Chuck Eddy from Lexington, Ky I grew up in Pennsylvania. Met my wife at college in Wisconsin 50 years ago. Donald Trump must go. I’m a Lifelong Republican. Voted Republican except twice. In 1980, I voted for John Anderson Republican Congressman from Rockford, Ill who ran as an Independent. In 1992 I voted for Ross Perot who ran as an independent. I shared his concern about the National Debt and still do today. 2016 is the first time I voted for a Democrat for President. Donald Trump scared the beejesus out of me and still does. I will campaign for, donate to, make calls for and gladly vote for Joe Biden and here’s why: In 2016 Trump campaigned on racism, misogyny, attacks on ethnic and religious minorities, disabled people. In his kickoff speech, in Trump Tower, he attacked Mexicans as drug dealers And rapists, said he would build a wall to keep them out and He would make them Pay for it. Update: that’s one of his 20,000 plus lies. Mexico isn’t paying for any part of the wall, and except for 5 new miles, all the rest of his wall-building is updating. He lied to his voters and still is. He is actively tearing down our 244 year old Democracy and 231 year old Constitution. •hasn’t released his taxes, like every other President since Nixon. Said he would. Lied. •didn’t divest himself of his companies and has spent many millions at Trump Organization properties. We pay for that. Shameful. •welcomed Russian help in 2016 and still is today. •said he believed Putin over our 17 Intelligence agencies •separated children from parents seeking legally asylum as an illegal deterrent. Cruel and definitely against Christ’s teaching in my book •attacked all levels of the executive branch, including maintaining Acting Cabinet Secretaries. •Pardoned Military war criminals damaging military morale. •illegally fights Congressional Oversight and subpoenas •abruptly withdrew troops from northern Syria, exposing our Kurdish Allies to Turkey. Transparently gave his buddy Erdogan permission to go after the Kurds. This by the way triggered the resignation of Defense Secretary Mattis, the only person I supported in trump’s administration as a good appointment. •his Individual tax Cut was only a little bit for you and me, and that was temporary. 85% was the Permanent Corporate Tax Cut for the wealthy and large corporations, The majority of which was used to buy back stock, instead of Trump’s lie about investment in the economy. •Covid19. He denied, lied and delayed. He blames China, but it’s his response that is killing us. Look at South Korea who responded to the Pandemic when he didn’t. •today, August 30th, there are at least 182,535 Americans dead because of Covid19. There are 323 Dead South Koreans. Their country is smaller than ours. If both were the same size, they would have 2,100 deaths. •There 88 times the number of dead Americans as South Koreans. Trump did that. •There are so many horrible things he has done, but let’s close with the Trump 2020 Republican Convention. •Illegally broke Hatch Act by using the White House. Broke all norms with political signage and the godawful Fireworks spelling out his name. •and the first Cherry on the Top is very very few masks and social distancing at Pence’s speech at Ft. McHenry. So it will be a SuperSpreader Of Covid19. •Finally, Trump’s Acceptance Speech at the White House had 1500 guests. Only a couple of guests had masks. And lots of mingling afterwards. So that will be a really big Covid19 SuperSpreader. Let me be clear, there was no last straw for me with Trump. I have opposed him and his Trumpian “Republican” enablers since day one. Please join me in supporting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to restore our country to the America our ancestors fought and died to create. As President Reagan said quoting Jesus, Biden and Harris can restore America to be the shining city on the hill. good night and God bless you and vote as if America’s Future as a Democracy depends on it... it does. #DumpTrump #BidenHarrisLandslide2020 #republicansvotingallblue2020 joebiden.com

Andy Barr just posted an ad on his political page that is a lie. He says he is protecting coverage for pre-existing conditions. That’s a lie. I just posted this on his page. “Dear Andy Barr: I am very sorry for the loss of your wife, but this is a lie. You voted repeatedly for many years and in 2017 “enthusiastically” to get rid of the Affordable Care Act/Obamacare. That bill requires all insurance policies to require protection for pre-existing conditions. Voting to get rid of the ACA means getting rid of protection for all-Americans for pre-existing conditions. That Ad is a lie and you need to take it down. I ran against you in the Republican Primary because you wanted to yank coverage away from 23 million people “enthusiastically” AND because of lies like this. Take this lying ad down. I cannot believe you are using your wife’s memory in this political manner. Shame on you. Chuck Eddy former Republican candidate for Congress KY06.” I’m sure he would like to hear from you all as well. I’m disgusted he’s using his wife’s tragic death to peddle this lie. #BarAndyBarr #VoteJoshHicks From Josh Hicks Healthcare Position: “I’ll work to ensure that those with preexisting conditions are able to retain their healthcare, and that insurers cannot discriminate against them. And I’ll fight to add a Medicare buy-in public option, so that everyone has the ability to enroll in affordable healthcare.” https://joshhicksforcongress.com/priorities/
