How come come on the older Melody Hill proposal it references 268 units, but the new proposal lists 468. Earth to MLT, there's NO WAY 220 and 222 can handle that kind of traffic....... Why don't we bu...ild it in YOUR neighborhood ? See More

City offices are closed today in observance of the Presidents Day holiday, however the Pavilion and pool are open!

Okay MLT, Saturday night our MLT high school boys basketball team needs your support up at Mt. Vernon High School as they take on Burlington in the state tourney. The game starts at 6pm. Plan your convoys now. AND...Congrats to Jazz Band 1 for being selected as a finalist for the Essentially Ellington Competition in NYC. GO HAWKS!

Mountlake Terrace High School

Congratulations to the members of the boys basketball team on earning a state regional berth. The boys basketball team with their 68-60 win over Anacortes Thurs...day night will now move on to the State Regionals starting next weekend on either Friday or Saturday. The date, time, location, and opponent will be determined on Sunday, February 18th.

Seattle police say on November 7, suspect Christopher Burrus threw a Big Gulp cup full of gasoline on Kasey Busch, 39, and then used a flare to light him on fire. He has burns over 30 percent of his body, including his back and arms.

At last night's Council meeting, the property owner of the Handy Mart (located at 44th Avenue W & 228th Street SW) said the building would be demolished tomorrow (Wednesday). No specifics on time but will post if known.

MLTDOG Volunteers: The Mountlake Terrace Off Leash Dog Park (5303 228th Street SW) is maintained with assistance from a small group of volunteers known as MLTDOG who are setting up some volunteer efforts to help with the maintenance of the park. The first of these for 2018 will be February 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you would like to help out, or get more information about other volunteer efforts and possibly join the group, they can be reached at 4mltdog@gmail.com.

The city recognized its volunteers serving on boards, commissions and committees at a dinner at the Mountlake Terrace Senior/Community Center. Thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers who served on the Arts Advisory Commission, City Hall Advisory Committee, Civil Service Commission, Community Policing Advisory Board, Neighborhood Park Improvement Subcommittee, Planning Commission, and Recreation and Parks Advisory Commission! Your service is very much appreciated!

UPDATE from Police Department: The dogs were not taken from their owners and there is no evidence of any animal related crimes.
