Small city government out of control is the best way to describe the 'corporate park' currently being built in Sterling Ponds. I have never in my life saw a 4-foot berm with shade trees planted at ra...ndom, large increments being used to divide residential and, let's call it what it is, industrial. Someone, at very least the state level, should be made aware of your unethical practices of bailing out a large residential developer (for reasons that are still unclear), deciding behind a closed-door council meeting to build industrial park, re-zoning land from residential to business, and lying and misleading the residents of Sterling Ponds for years. Shame on you all. You are lining your own pockets at the expense of your citizens, most of whom are raising children back here. Horrible decision making going on by so many. See More

As a recent visitor to RF from one of the most environmentally responsible areas in California (Santa Cruz), I was most impressed with all the work the city is doing to become a green leader nationwid...e, particularly with your Solar buy-in program. Yay, for a small town with big-thinkers in the middle of the beautiful green rolling farmlands of western Wisconsin. See More

Second screen coming to Falls Theatre of River Falls, WI by RF Days 2018! Congrats to owner Michelle Maher and many thanks for continuing to invest in the future of this community treasure.
Just in from Madison: "The City of River Falls has received an $82,600 state grant to support the renovation and expansion of a 90-year-old movie theater, a project expected to provide a boost to downtown businesses.
"The Community Development Investment Grant from the Wisconsin Economic D...evelopment Corporation (WEDC) will help fund plans to add a second screen and make other renovations at the Falls Theatre on Main Street, which first opened its doors in 1927.
"The project also calls for adding more bathrooms, improving furnishings and equipment, increasing theater space to allow for more opportunities to screen additional films, and making infrastructure improvements throughout downtown.
Work will begin this month on the $640,000 project, which should be completed this summer."
