Just a reminder that non-emergency City of Wheaton offices will be closed on Monday in honor of Presidents' Day. Garbage pickup will remain on a normal schedule next week. City Hall will re-open Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m. Have a great weekend!
A reminder from the City of Wheaton Building Department: As temperatures warm, icicles located over entrances to buildings and over public and private sidewalks may become a hazard to the public. Building owners and managers should take steps to either remove icicles near entrance/exists and over sidewalks or place barricades to keep pedestrians and vehicles away from falling ice. If you see a hazardous condition as described above, that is not being addressed, please call the City of Wheaton Building Department at 630-260-2050.
Mayor Gresk presents Amy Langford and the Perrin-Wheaton Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution with a proclamation in honor of their 90th anniversary. The Perrin-Wheaton members volunteer and support the veterans at Hines Hospital, the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, and present Good Citizen awards and scholarships to high school seniors, while also supporting many other civic, environmental and educational concerns here in Wheaton.
Below is a heads up to Wheaton residents who receive garbage/recycling service from Lakeshore Recycling Systems.
To keep the safety of our drivers and community a top priority, there may be delays with your service due to the heavy snow fall. Please remember to shovel the ...walkways around your containers and remove snow and ice from the wheels and lid of your Lakeshore container. Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe! #LiveSafety
