This whole staying inside thing has really made people have to get creative 😅 While we encourage you to go enjoy walks and spend time outside when you can, we also want to remind you that just because you’re outside doesn’t mean social distancing stops being necessary. If you wanted to go for a hike but you see the trailhead parking lot is full of people, make the responsible decision and save hiking for another day. If you and the kids roll up to Steed Park for a picnic but see people already at the pavilions, try out a lesser known or smaller park that will have fewer people. Keep your own gatherings small, to less than 10 people. It’s your responsibility even in parks and on trails to keep your distance, and remember to wash your hands!
Here are some of Clearfield’s hidden gem parks that you can check out:
Bicentennial Park - 931 E 600 S
Fox Hollow Park & Arboretum - 2050 S 575 E
Chelmes Park - 2100 S 1000 E
Hoggan’s Park - 234 W 550 N
Thornock Family Memorial Park - 200 S 500 W
All parks and amenities can be found on our website at http://www.clearfieldcity.org/cms/one.aspx?objectId=66262 .
