Always friendly people, crackin music selections that'll cover the whole wiiiiide rock spectrum so i'm in my happy place.
Bar staff are so friendly and ready for a laugh with me which is just a bonus....
Great inclusive energy and atmosphere no matter what you look like or how much ya wanna head bang. Consistent whiplash for me every month.
I'm damn glad i turned up that first time.

The first time I went (in 2012) was great and exciting and new but nowadays it's just meh, the drinks deals aren't great unless you want shots or alcopops and the music/atmosphere could be vastly impr...oved. Entry imo is too expensive compared to other places and it's dead most of the time which is also off putting. See More

Been going ever since i was old enough! Awesome night out once a month in woking... Other than Agincourt in camberly and a few in reading, its the only place to go for rock and metal shenanigans. Fai...r price usually floating around the £5 mark with costume and theme night discounts. Only pet hate is the cash only bars but a local free cash point 2 mins away fixes that. Yearly halloween and back to school nights are incredible, with a huge crowd and nice people! Give it a go. See More

Schism was awesome. Whoever disagrees clearly has the overall intellectual capacity of a bag of poorly seasoned shite.

If you want to be picky about small details instead of appreciating the commun...ity value of the event, then fuck off to London.

Also, about the music. Its a rock event. You will probably hear rock, at least once. I suspect.

Majority post 2000s music with the odd 80s song thrown in should not be marketed as "80s night". Numbers have been declining over the months from what i can tell and its not hard to see why. Marketing... means a lot and when you market somthing one way and deliver somthing completley diffrent. Gah. Its just bad business. See More

Schism is always a fun night out, the numbers may have decreased over the years but it's still the best club night in the area!

Horrific, smelt like burned hair, weird people, terrible music and messed up having to leave your drink unattended to have a fag. This review should be a 0/10. atleast a double rum and coke was £3.50,... needed it. See More

This place puts London clubs to shame. Not only does it provide for an opportunity for me to come down from London to see my friends. I have a bloody good night each an every month to look forward to ...and planning outfits to wear. See More

I've been going on and off for several years, and although some of the crowd changes, there'll always be the regulars, and the same fantastic atmosphere. Always an immensely fun night out!

Staff there are great, security however, need a course in humanity, horrible people, with all disregard with anyone but their own bouncer status, one even shouted 'fucking gay' to me ..... Great... Thanks

Schism is awesome and it rocks the roof off of the building XD

WOKING Schism is going to take a brief hiatus while the venue under goes a change of management. We WILL return, hopefully early in the new year, but currently solicitors and other legal wankery seem to be doing their best to delay the changeover!

In the meantime you can get your fix of all things schism at our GUILDFORD Schism on 24th Nov and 29th Dec. To learn more about that night, the event page for the next one is in the comments.

We’re confident that this will be a very short hiatus, and we will be back rocking Woking to the core under new and improved management very very soon!

Don't forget we're giving away prizes this Friday for our 16th birthday in Guildford. To be in with a chance of winning, be sure to tag your friends and share the pinned post in the event page. The winner will be announced Thursday evening.

Also, be sure to list your song requests on the page!

Schism Guildford to Schism's 16th birthday-Tonight!

It's FRIDAY, and you all know what that means! Other than being an excuse to have an evening that ...results in waking up in a pool of your own regurgitated Grand Big Mac, it means it's just two weeks until Schism treats Guildford like it's own little playground and graces the town with sounds not suitable for those with a mild disposition!

It also means it's time to present you all with something exciting to get your teeth stuck into. With Schism turning sweet 16, we want to give you lucky people the chance to WIN some awesome pressies in our little birthday competition. Don't say we never give you anything!

The prizes on offer for one lucky Schismite are as follows :-

- FREE entry for you and a friend of your choice
- A SCHISM branded tank top*
- £20 bar tab on the night
- And a MYSTERY prize...

All you have to do to enter is simple, just tag your friends in the comments section below and share this post in your news feed. From there the Schism team will pick and announce the winner on the evening of the 22nd of February.

Now, start tagging and sharing. We wish you all the best of luck!🤘

Schism Guildford

This Friday. Be There.

As we fall on what would traditionally be another Woking Schism night, we find ourselves at a loss due to a lack of an agreement to open the doors once again...yes we know, we're as sad about as you are.

Of course we want to entertain the masses of Woking, and without the ability to do so with a viable venue, we would like to plug the void by presenting you with a playlist of some of the songs played at our Guildford event last Friday.

For those of you who missed it here's ...a chance to imagine what it was like (we advise downing a load of rum and flicking the lights on and off for more effect) and for those of you who were there, here's your chance to relive it in some capacity.

Quick reminder that we will NOT be open tonight. Hoping to be back next month. See you all soon!

As the ownership nonsense continues to drag on and on, unfortunately we won't be opening our Woking doors at the start of January.

We will however be opening our Guildford doors again this time next week:

For many of us, when we look back over the near 16 years of Schism, we see a history of awesome nights, great company and music that stays with us. It's become not only another night out, but a lifestyle as well as what we feel can best be described as a family. One man who had a vital part in contributing to all of this was Alan J Chapman. Alan helped shape Schism into what it is today, he invited so many people not only into our club but into his heart. He showed himself to... be a great influence, introducing so many people to the rock scene and making them feel welcomed and comfortable enough to call Schism their home. Many of those people still grace the club with their presence today and continue to speak fondly of Alan and the great times he presented to them.

Today marks 3 years since Alan left us and as such we want to carry his legend forward by remembering some of the music he loved and shared with you guys. So, we have put together a community playlist that contains many of the tracks he is remembered for, as well as covering his own personal eclectic tastes, but we also want to put it out to those of you who remember Alan, and share with us any songs that remind you of him to add to the list to make it more definitive. So, if you have any songs you would like to add, comment below and we will aim to update the listing accordingly.

Let's make Alan proud!…/…/playlist/5M4cuuHhzlxMKq72xUUNDv

A playlist dedicated to the man who had a big impact on the Surrey rock scene. In this list we pay tribute to some of the tracks that Alan was known for loving and playing at Schism Rock Club as well as those few tracks in his personal selection that came up in discussion.

We miss you too Ben!

Now, this feels a little odd, it's the first Friday of the month and Schism in Woking is not opening it's doors for the first time in many years.

Whilst we know many of you are probably going to be sitting there drowning your sorrows over a pint in Spoons this evening, wondering why you can't give your necks a good workout at your favourite monthly rock night. We want to plug the gaping hole left in your hearts and provide you with an extensive playlist to use in the comfort... of your own home, car, toilet or wherever you have access to Spotify.

So, for those of you who were with us this time last year, you may recall Schism had two events in December, including Our Nightmare Before Christmas evening and the big F**K YOU 2016 event to see out a year of absolute crap in the media surrounding politics and the deaths of many influential people.

As such, our regular DJ Jez has merged songs played across both nights into one long list for your listening pleasure. So, crack open a few bevvies, call your friends, invite them over and have your own mini Schism in our honour until Woking returns.

In the meantime, Schism will return in Guildford on the 29th of December, and after such an awesome launch night, we want to see you all top that. Now, make sure you have no other plans and prepare to get messy!…/…/playlist/4CYeLorwGLOMh8z0NYMU3K

REMEMBER there is NO Schism on Woking this Friday. We will return in the new year but not before. In the meantime Schism Guildford is coming with its second night:

After what can only be described as an EPIC launch night, we want to give you beautiful people a way to relive part of the night, or if you missed it, a chance to make it feel like you were there. So, DJ Jez has put together one of those fancy Spotify playlists, featuring the tracks played from 22:00 to 23:30 and 1:00 to 2:00 as well as the last three tracks of the night, for your listening pleasure.

We want to thank all of you who came and made our first night in Guildford something so special, you Schismites f**king rock! 🤘

Here's to the next event!
