As a kid I loved this place but felt like it was a ghost town this past Saturday night which use to be packed back in the day, the place is run down and needs to be injected with more money to keep th...ings up and make it more modernised I can understand that with the economical struggle these days but come on the place was closing up by 7pm yet advertised it was shutting at 8pm. When it came to playing some of the arcade kiddie rides they weren't working and no one to be seen to try and get help either. Again place needs a refurb big time. See More

Not going to be visiting again!!! The beach is lovely but that's all! The fairground is awful and the staff need to learn some people skills...so miserable and rude. The whole place looks run down, ne...eds a huge revamp. To top it all off, my boyfriend got awful food poisoning from eating a dodgy burger from one of the snack vans yday! He's been so poorly today from it!! Can imagine were not the only family who wont be returning!! If you've never been, dont bother! See More

Stunning place, perfect for families. Lots of rock pools to explore, and loads of little souvenir shops. Highly recommend the £1 cafe on the beachfront. The food was amazing and the coffee was just ho...w I make it at home! We will definitely go back, for a holiday not just a day trip. Well worth the 120 miles we travelled to get there! See More

The beach was was very clean and I enjoyed it as for the fair I am disgusted. My daughter went on the crazy mouse ride and nearly came out of it. The car had straps that didn't strap into anything. We... had a safety barrier across us but she slid under it. When I told the operator of the ride he just dismissed us. Another group of children went on the ride which wasn't secure either and if the parent didn't approach the operator her would have let them go. Health and safety officers need to go there and check the rides. If my quick thinking didn't come into the safety of this ride I would have lost my 8 year old daughter yesterday. See More

Had a brilliant day with my daughter. but the car park was just disorganised chaos. Alot of people including myself had to queue for over 30 mins just to get a ticket for the car and there was also n...o one there to guide people to parking areas. Surely this is an easy issue to solve. Apart from that we enjoyed everything Coney beach had to offer. Really good day out, and as always we will be back. See More

Unfortunately day ruined by someone driving into back of my parked car. No security camera in sight and no note left on car. £250 to get it fixed. I thought area was very run down. Fairground rides l...ooked a bit dodgy so didn't go on any. However a lovely clean sandy beach. Nice walk along promenade to other end. Plenty of fish and chip places to eat in. Pizza restaurant very nice. In fairness money is being spent to improve the area but not enough to make me return. See More

I asked my children (5 and 7) to rate our visit to the fair last night. They said they would give it 10 stars. They loved the sack slide and the Funhouse and thought the lady on the Hook A Duck stall ...was very kind. See More

Such a nice beach and wimpy isn't too shabby, didn't get to enjoy much else as the weather wasn't that great and not much was open the time we went. But we enjoyed the beach and made the most of what we had

I used to love coming here when I was younger! I do miss a few rides there though which are; mega blitz(the big roller coaster), targeta(the bouncy one) I do still like coming here but I get bored so ...easily, the rides just aren't fun anymore:( one of the best memories I have of the fair is when me and my friend were little I'd say we were about 8/9 and we went on Miami- it was a quiet day and we loved the ride just kept going back on it and one time the guy who was controlling the ride kept us on there for ages and when we stopped up the top he'd pretend we were stuck(obviously we knew he was joking around) that has got to be the best memory I've got of the fair! But I think to improve it more and make it more exciting is add more thrilling rides! I hope beach party will be back soon, I respect what happened on a similar ride else where and it is expected that beach party is kept but in my opinion it's very eye catching for the fair and it just sums the fair up also those slides the bumpy ones? If someone says "porthcawl fair" to me I can image beach party and those slides in my head See More

Well I was surprised that no one else was on the beach and that none of shops were open even that halal place aka wimpy lack of sand in the beach and the water wasn't warm enough until I pissed in it,... I did however enjoy sitting on the floor as there are no benches to sit on and getting sand in the crack of my arse was the final straw so we decided to leave but not before seeing a fully grown woman having fun in one of them electric cars, it was an experience See More

Coney Beach Charity Fund

The 2017 Porthcawl Charity Bonfire will be held on the 4th November at Salt Lake Car Park, Porthcawl.

This is the fourth year of this fantastic event and again..., as in previous years, we hope to raise some money for local charities and good causes.

Entertainment starts at 6pm and will be provided by the Welsh Factor Talent Competitions.

The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, with fireworks to follow over the beach from the The Hi Tide Inn.

Coney Beach Porthcawl Amusement Park will also be open for its last weekend of the season.

This is a free event, but car parking fees from Salt Lake Car Park (CF36 5TS) and Coney Beach (Mackworth Road) will be going to the Coney Beach Charity Fund which distributes the proceeds to local, good causes.

If any locals feel they could help volunteer, either building the Bonfire or helping on the day; please could you get in touch.

See you there & thanks for the share!

Coney Beach Porthcawl is now closed until the weekend of November 4th & November 5th.

We'll have our usual bonfire night on one of those days (which we'll be releasing in the next week or so).

Our amusement arcade and entertainment centre will still be open everyday, and its possible a selection of rides will be open on weekends at our discretion, but the uncertainty over the weather has ultimately forced our hand in this.

...

Hope to see you all on the final weekend of the season, there will be many thousands in Porthcawl enjoying the bonfire, fireworks, fun fair, and entertainment.
