Euro Midwifery, London November

The conference was very worthwhile and I enjoyed hearing from and learning from others and the opportunity to meet people from different countries. ...

The only thing is that there weren't many people at the conference (20 people); I think if they had of lowered your prices and also set up deals for groups of people (for example groups from different hospitals/ communites) then it could have been even more a sucess and benefited more people. One delegate told us at the meal the night before that he could have bought 50 people from hs areas of practice and he sugested this but no response from conference series...so perhaps conference series need to rethink this.

Otherwise, it was good and I am glad that I attended.

I enjoyed the conference but the hotel accommodations were extremely frustrating and disappointing. My personal judgment/experience is that the management of the hotel (Best Western in Mahlow, Berlin)... is clearly the worst which I have ever experienced in my life. I have an extensive travel background so this is quite a significant evaluative statement. I reported my experiences to the management, to no avail, of course! This is emblematic of my experience: abject disrespect with impunity!

The conference was fine but the hotel was an unfortunate choice for a professional conference. I would never recommend this site to family, friends or colleagues. I value their time, money and the quality of their experiences. I was told by the Manager on site "to return to the United States ..... and see what Best Westerns are like there!" I will not be doing so! Thank you anyway.

The conference cost was above average. The organisation was poor, with no-one from the organising committee present to open the conference. The moderator of the first session had only been informed th...at she was the moderator 1 hour prior to the conference commencing. The conference used our institutions’s logos without permission. In my case, they had used the logo of a completely different hospital with a similar name! Many of the speakers didn’t turn up, meaning there were substantial gaps in the programme. I met some lovely, interesting, talented people, but the poor organisation of the conference was a running joke throughout the 2 days. See More

I enjoyed and learned from the conferences I attend and, also I was able to built a relationship with great scientists who attend the conference and I kept contact them since two years. Definitely I e...ncourage scientists, postgraduate students especial the new generation to attend the conference within their area of interest. However, the accommodation was very good, the conference will need more direct management especially with IT people to cover and solve any issues which could arise at any time of the conference presentation. ConferenceSeries is making unauthorized use of the name of the Metabolomics Society’s annual conference. The Metabolomics Society has consistently named its conferences: “Metabolomics 2010,” “Metabolo...mics 2011,” “Metabolomics 2012,” “Metabolomics 2013,” “Metabolomics 2014,” “Metabolomics 2015,” “Metabolomics 2016,” and “Metabolomics 2017.” ConferenceSeries is clearly and intentionally trading on the Metabolomics Society’s goodwill by using the same name to promote its own conference, thereby causing damage to the Society’s reputation. As a leading, international scientific organization, the Metabolomics Society is entitled to protect its rights, reputation, and business.

In addition to trading on the goodwill of the Metabolomics Society by using the conference name, ConferenceSeries is confusing and misdirecting members of the scientific community who are seeking information from the Metabolomics Society or trying to register for the Metabolomics Society’s annual conference.

These activities constitute illegal intentional trademark infringement and trademark dilution. Accordingly, we demand that ConferenceSeries (a) immediately cease and desist all further use of the “Metabolomics 2018” name for its 2018 conference; (b) cease and desist use of the “Metabolomics [year]” name for any future conferences; and (c) cease publishing or disseminating any further information on its website, brochures or any other media that uses Metabolomics 2018 or the Metabolomics Society’s name, conference title, publications, or products in a way that is misleading or confusing to the scientific community.

No doubt the events organized are good, but the management is very poor. There will be loads of email before registration, once registration is done, the communication is weak. I think the organizing ...committee should be more committed and true towards their delegates. See More

Recently attended a conference that took place in Paris. Surely the talks were very enlightening and good meet senior professors of the field. However the conference doesn’t address issues such as CME... points or moderators to take care of presenter issues. I would seriously look forward to future conferences that would address this issue. Overall a good experience. Thank you. See More

Fantastic Congress in Berlin! This is the first international conference for me and the first experience of the report in English. I was very worried, but the friendly atmosphere and support of my col...leagues helped me. I really liked the conference. Interesting reports were presented on many modern topics of child psychiatry and psychology. And free discussion allowed to understand more deeply all topics. Many thanks to the organizers and all the participants! Anna Eremeeva, Russia See More

I have chaired several of the conferences in microbiology, infectious diseases, biosafety and biosecurity for this group. All these conferences were for the participants and myself a real success as t...he conferences have a very international participation and covers a broad spectrum of expertise. With good moderation the conferences have given a lot of eyeopeners in science development and 'out-of-the-box' application opportunities. See More

Please stop placing your spam notices on our contact page - we have nothing to do with your conferences. We are getting someone doing this every day and it is very annoying.

Dear Christopher, as I got an announcement that your email is not working, I forward my feedback on the conference in London (euromidwifery) in this way.

Thank you for inviting me for giving feedback... on the euromidwifery conference in London.

First of all, after being disappointed about the number of participants, I enjoyed the conference very much. I met wonderfull colleagues, shared a lot of knowledge and enjoyed the openness and safety of the conference of all the participants.
However, I have a rather long list of feedback which I think you can take into considering and for the next conference you will organize in Frankfurt next year.

1. Your PR campaign. I think you should invest in a larger public relation campaing or invest in becoming more known in the world of midwifery as almost nobody in my surrounding ever heard of the midwifery conference series. I heard from one of the participants that he had suggested to you to bring a large number of students from his working environment to the conference but you didn't react on it by providing him information about the number of participants. I think you have to look for a campaing manager who is involved in other larger conferences and ask him/ her for advice to enlarge your public relations in order to interest more professionals for visiting the conference series.

2. The number of participants.
I visited a conference of this serie now for the second time and again, like my first time, I was very disappointed to discover that the number of participants was so small that the lady you hired to be our host, which she was and did perfect, indicated the conference as intimate. I think that the number of participants should be one of your greatest points of attention as all speakers invest a large amount of time to prepare their orals, their posters and are proud on the job they have done. Every researcher is proud to be invited to speak about their research or to present it in a poster and then it is so very disappointing that you speak for only about 20 participants or you invest in making a poster, which is barely seen due to limited time or due to organisational apsects like no good place to show your poster, lacking a poster walk or lacking enough time to pay attention to posters.

3. The price of the conference
The price of the conference is high, especially for students who can't afford a huge amount for visiting a conference. You should consider to lower your prices or to work with adapted prices for students to attract them to the conference but not only for students, also for senior researchers.
A high price is only justable if the number of participants of the conference is large enabling speakers to share their research with a great amount of participants all over the world. Don't forget that every researcher have to travel to the conference, most by airplane, which is als a big expensive issue.

4. The support of sponsors
I can imagine that sponsors of the conference series will withdraw after the conference in London with so less participants. Now, we invited each sponsor to have 15 minutes in our programme to tell about their company and the products to give them a podium and to thank them for sponsoring the conference, but we did this because we felt ashamed of the less participants. I think this is an issue of your concern which you should address with the greatest accuracy as I think you can't organize a conference without sponsoring.

5. The venue of the conference
The Park Inn Hotel in London is a perfect place to organize the conference. Once you know how to find the venue, it is easy to find and that's the point. Arriving on Heathrow, terminal 4 it is very difficult to discover your way to the hotel with the information given. I advise you to update the travel information.

6. Acceptance of support by seniors
I wonder why you didn't accept the offer of one of the delegates. He told he had done suggestions to improve the number of participants to the conference but feld he wasn't heard. If you receive a support of a key note speaker, I think you should take this into account.

For the conference in Frankfurt, I already told it to my students to consider it but it will depend on costs and participants.
