Sometimes it may seem to some people like there is a divide between Republicans and Democrats in Congress. While for some this may be true, I try my best to get along with all of my colleagues no matter what "side of the aisle" they usually sit on. Americans need us to work together so we can make our Country better each day. Yesterday, I had the privilege of participating in the dedication ceremony of the Sgt. Michael H. Ferschke Jr. AMVETS Post 22 of Blount County. It has been great to see AMVETS Post 22 grow from a membership of 10 in March to now over 100. The support they provide to reservists,veterans, and their families is so special. I am looking forward to keep seeing the positive changes in our community because of Post 22.
