This is a historic day in Kentucky as we celebrate the grand opening… of AppHarvest’s first expansive 60-acre AgTech greenhouse in Morehead, Ky!
I’m pleased to announce the additional investment of $4.55 million from USDA-Rural Development to help purchase equipment for this state-of-the-art operation.
Congratulations to Jonathan Webb and his impressive team of innovators on this monumental day! AppHarvest is transforming the future of agriculture in America. Afficher la suite
It’s great to be in Sandy Hook this morning with good news for the p…eople of Elliott County. The people of Morgan County will soon have a more reliable water sys…tem thanks to a $2 million investment from USDA-Rural Development in Kentucky. I was honored to make the announcement today at the Morgan County Public Library, along-side Hilda Legg, President Trump's appointee for Kentucky's office of USDA Rural Development. The funding will be used to rehabilitate and replace West Liberty's waterlines and pumps that are now more than 40 years old.
I also presented Community Leadership Awards to two long-time public servants in West Liberty. Joleen Frederick recently retired after serving as City Attorney since the early 90s. Sally Barker dedicated 23 years to the City Clerk's office where she started as an office assistant and worked her way up to become the City Clerk. These ladies have been loyal advocates for the people of West Liberty and I salute them both for their dedicated work in Eastern Kentucky. Afficher la suite
