So we collaborated with labor leaders to craft this plan, which will create good paying high quality jobs across the country, which we need now more than ever as a leader on the. And Labor Committee and the granddaughter of a coal miner, I know the way we transition to a clean energy economy. how we support the workforce is as important as the transition itself clean energy jobs should be good family wage jobs and that will restore fairness to our economy starts with making it easier for workers to form a Union and collectively bargain to correct injustices of the past to federal clean energy investments need to uphold. Standards labor standards like Buy American provisions we need to be making and producing and buying clean energy products in this country. Davis baking davis-bacon prevailing wage requirements and the use of community benefit agreements and project labor agreements that help keep labor local We need to make sure workers are safe on the job We need registered apprenticeships to support individuals who have historically faced barriers to these good paying. Especially women and people of color who should be able to access good clean energy and infrastructure jobs and importantly, critically fossil fuel workers who becoming dislocated or displaced need targeted support services and resources, which will be provided through a National economic transition office. also as coach of the House of Oceans Caucus and Congressional Congressional Estuary Caucus, I am thrilled.
