This week our #ThinBlueLine became significantly thinner. Detective Senior Sergeant Vic Kostiuk was a serving police officer with Victoria Police who sadly passed away following a motorcycle crash on Friday, and Senior Sergeant Paul “Beau” Reynolds was a serving member with Tasmania Police who tragically passed away suddenly on Thursday. With nearly 78 years combined service, it is a significant loss to the Blue Family.

We cannot begin to imagine how difficult a time this mu...st be for those who knew and loved Vic and Paul, our thoughts are with both of their families, including Vic’s son, Detective Felix Kostiuk, and wife, retired Superintendent Pauline Kostiuk. Our thoughts also go out to our brothers and sisters at Victoria Police and Tasmania Police who had the pleasure of knowing Vic and Paul and seeing how passionate and enthusiastic they were when it came to helping others.

As many of you will be aware, every product we sell from our thin blue, red and green line ranges, sees a portion of the funds donated to Emergency Service Charities who look after the families left behind when the worst happens to one of our brothers and sisters. We wear these lines not as a fashion accessory, but as a family crest. When we see a colleague or even a member of the public wearing one it reminds us that when we stand on the thin blue, red and green lines, to protect the communities before us, we do not stand alone.

After a short discussion amongst the Admin Team, we have decided to take all of the charity funds from every product sold over the next seven days and donate them to Vic and Paul’s family. The more products ordered over the next week, the bigger the donation we can make in Vic and Paul’s name. Whether you work for the Emergency Services or not, have a look at our range (link at the bottom of this post) and get an order in this week. Wear your crest with pride. You can even just pick up a patch or badge and hand it to the next crew you see to let them know they have your support and have them wear it on your behalf!

Vic and Paul, you both stood alongside our fans, our friends, and our family, to protect those who needed help. Today, we're going to help you and your families to raise as much for you as possible. Thank you for everything you've done for your community!

Rest peacefully.

For our police followers from Tasmania - do you have a Police Legacy established which supports families of fallen police officers?

If so, could you please send us some details via inbox? If not, could you please let us know of any similar alternatives?

Thanks in advance!

I always wanted to be a Female Cop but back in the 60's there were height restrictions and I just missed out (buggar). In 1960 I was in Prince Henry Hospital (St.Kilda Rd.Melb) for 3 months & watched ...them at the barracks doing their stuff and Parades...It was unreal.....Now I am 70 y/o (going on 50) to bloody old. Would there be any way of spending a day at a local cop shop just to watch what happens on the inside . Keep Up The Great Work....... See More

I am not in Law Enforcement, however I work in an associated line of work and understand the pressures of Police when dealing with Offenders. The humour displayed by this page and some of the issues ...addressed show the human side of Policing as well as some of the ways folks deal with stress and fatigue. Good one guys and ghouls, kep up the good work. See More

Being a "volunteer" involved with the legal system, I totally enjoy visiting your FB page! The humour, empathy, sharing life's quirks and being able to have a laugh, even at one's own expense!!
Being... on the front line of dealing with Crime, Victims and Perpetrators, Police need to be able to share a good laugh and know they have the support of the greater community! You do this brilliantly!!! See More

Best FB page ever!
If you like cops and having a good laugh, then this is the FB page for you.
If you don't like cops and don't have a funny bone, then bugger off and let the rest of us enjoy their humour.

I think these people in uniform are doing a wonderful job. On duty and Facebook. Life's hard enough. We all need a laff from time to time and this mob give it in buckets. If those who don't like the ...Police don't want to read their humour, don't! Simples. Luv ya guyz. See More

The posts are good/funny. But the customer service when ordering products is woeful. Responses to messages are slow and four weeks later I’m still waiting on delivery. Won’t be ordering from here again

As a cop wife, it's always such a relief to see my hubby scroll through this page and see support and humour. When there are so many uninformed, bias media pages out there, it's great to have the bala...nced addressed. See More
