It is a bare bones place that has a pool, kitchenettes, but no pots, pans, dishes or anything. Bring that stuff with you. There is a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker and a two burner stove. Mode...rately clean but fridge stunk and had an inch of ice buildup. Staff friendly! The paint was fresh, carpeting dark, dismal, and worn. However my bill for two nights was $319.00 or less than half of any chain. Imagine paying 325. A night for Red roof inn or Motel 6. Don't even think about big chains prices. After all we aren't planning to spend the day in a motel room and this fits my budget. See More

Read this review if you don't read any other. I am a retired Assistant Chief of Police with 37 years of experience and my wife ran Banks. We consider ourselves professionals and When we traveled over... the years we always looked for places to stay that were safe, clean and at a bargain rate. It was my 64th birthday and needed a place to stay near the Tanger Mall as well as being close to the beach. The staff at Cornerstone made us feel welcome from the first phone call we made to the desk clerk and after meeting the clerk and staff we checked in. The staff made us smile and we felt like family. We told them we were in the area for a couple of days to celebrate my birthday and after we unloaded we went out to eat. When we got back a birthday card signed by all the staff and a nice birthday balloon was waiting for me. Compliments of Cornerstone. We have never met these nice people and in a day an age where customer service is sometimes hard to find this was like another birthday present for me. Nobody is perfect and you can find fault with any hotel or motel if you want to look hard enough but for us, Cornerstone Lodge is a bargain stay. We have never met them before but we feel like we have made new friends here and look forward to coming back soon. See More

Had to go inland because of "Nate". Good rates and pet friendly. Walls looked freshly painted. Sheets/towels clean. No bugs. Kitchenette but no pots/pans. Carpet was filthy. But I had my dogs so no co...mplaints about that. Just wouldn't want my grandchildren running around on the carpet. Staff was friendly. I would go back if I needed to. See More

Ok so I just stayed here for 3 nights. Definite Pros and Cons to staying here. The price is great. Very affordable, even with pet fee ($75 1 time fee). Location is good....Close to shopping and restau...rants, only 15 minutes from the beach... several things to do close by. My room was bug free... I didn't see any roaches the entire stay and believe me I was on the lookout. Staff was friendly. Pet friendly(nonagrrssive breeds up to 25lbs) which is the only reason I decided on this one. Cons. The rooms are small. No pans or pots in room.. didn't think to check with front desk until after we had decided on buying quick snacks. The bed wasnt very comfortable. The carpets are filthy. At first sight not noticeable but my son ran around for a few minutes sockless and his feet were black. Rooms could use an update for sure. This is the biggest issue... and I hope hotel management reads this. I was in room 115. Across from us and upstairs there is a family staying with a dog who is very large and aggressive. Every time I went outside with my dog or son.. he'd start barking and going crazy.. it scared my son and startled my dog. He looks like a pit bull mix and is definitely over the 25lb weight limit. If you have a pet policy that prohibits large, aggressive dogs, and states this animal must be crated when patrons aren't there.. but this dog and owner do not adhere to these stipulations... but continue to stay... why have a policy? How can your staff even clean that room with an aggressive animal in there? That's dangerous to us, the staff, and the property as they can't clean the room properly... I would maybe stay again. The price is great, the location is nice, but I'm not sold on the idea. See More

Staff was friendly. Wasn't pleased with the room at all. They had us in an upstairs room with no elevators and I have bad knees so made it a little tough. Tiles cracked to pieces in floor, bathroom... shelves were disgusting, toilet paper holder completely rusted out , roach in kitchen sink, mattress was horrible and the comforter was so old that it scratched your skin from the fuzzballs on the backside of it. No food or drink aloud at pool or you would've been evicted and the ice machine/snack machine area closed when the office did so no after hours anything. Oh and it advertises iron and ironing board and you can get one but have to get from the office and it's a tabletop ironing board. Curtains had come detached from the blackout backing and the curtains blew out with the air conditioner which blocked airflow to the room. One good note, the beds were clean! Do not recommend! My family went to Cornerstone Lodge of Foley for a weekend get away. This was our first time visiting this location. When we arrived the security guard was super helpful and he helped me take my to my room. He made me aware of how I could contact him if I needed anything. The front desk was super nice as well. As we were leaving, the maintenance guy stood there and talked with me. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. I was very satisfied with our stay. I would recommend Cornerstone Lodge of Foley to anyone. I would like to say thank you to everyone for making our weekend get away AWESOME!!! See More

The staff was very nice and informative at check in. After reading some of the previous reviews, I was unsure what our stay would be like. Please guys, by no means listen to all the negative reviews. ...This place was very very clean. Although a little outdated, it was very well worth the price. Room was very cold and the bed was not bad!! We had an unfortunate event and had to leave a day sooner than expected. It was later than the check out time. Considering the event that took place, the manager kindly refunded partial cost of that nights stay!! So, I would say that they provided great customer service!! I would stay here again. See More

My mom, cousin, youngest daughter and myself all went for a mini 4 day stay. We were very satisfied. The room was very clean, the staff was very friendly and quick to help and the grounds were clean a...nd nice. The pool was always clean and no wild people trying to party or keep anyone up. I really liked how the security guard was always roaming the grounds and would help in a blink of an eye. We will be staying again. This was our first time visiting Gulf Shores. We will be back again. See More

Rooms were nice and clean. Had trouble with our rooms when we actually got to the lodge and got told a higher price than what the agency online quoted us which made me very irritable as I had budgeted... and set aside a certain amount of money and get to the lodge and had to pay more for the rooms. Other than that every thing was fine. Great people great service. See More

The staff was nice. The laundry & ice were in the office and the office wasn't open til 8am. I am up at 5am (not a night person) .and couldn't get to the places I needed. I could have done all my l...aundry before family was up and ready to go. Another Inn we stayed in all had doors locked, but could access with our key. One big question we didn't ask about was whether you had Wifi? We tired accessing it and nothing happened. See More

I'm going to put everything in a nut shell. If you are looking to have a great time in Foley or Orange Beach. This is the place to stay. EXTREMELY quiet and CLEAN. The staff is very friendly and HEL...PFUL. Also, you will save alot of MONEY by staying here. If you are on a tight budget there is a kitchenette. With a fridge and a large closet for your things. The beds are very comfortable with CLEAN linens. Honestly, I'm a Hampton or Hilton person but not anymore. Why spend that kind of money and you can get more for your buck here. Thank you Cornerstone Lodge for making our vacation fun and exciting. See More
