How are you gunna let monat have a booth! That’s a slap in the face to the industry.

Very disappointed this year. Feel like there wasn't as many vendors this year or a lot of smaller vendors with crappy product trying to push sell you something that works okay. I thought the point of ...this show is show cosmos the current trends of the year, that being said there was vendors that did show a lot of great trends and products but there wasn't great deals. only save a dollar here and there nothing I could of bought directly from the vendors online or in cosmoprof store if I factor in the prices of getting in, parking and gas I could of saved a lot more by just buying everything online and delievery to my house. Don't think I'll return next year or go to the Orlando preimer beauty show. very disappointing See More

I've been attending the show since 1999. First time I went the experience was awesome . It was also at the Stephenson convention center in Rosemont. The exhibitors were great and plenty of samples giv...en out by the vendors. Now that it has been at the McCormick place ,prices went up and the quality of the show went down. It's seems to have gotten away from being educatational and now it's let's see who has more flash and the louder setup. Also what's going on with all the vendors selling purses ,perfumes ,colognes,etc.. what happened to the vendors having styling products and shampoos with great deals. This may be the last time I attend cause I can get same or better prices at local vendors or online. See More

The first year I came was absolutely amazing ! Great vendors, great samples, and fantatsic classes. The next year was still pretty awesome for that matter, but that's when it started sloping downhill.... This is my 6th year and I was highly disappointed. I got 2 samples this year and 4 of the vendors I wanted to see were not here. Not to mention the price in ticket went up! Even the show deals get worse each year. I might as well just save the money from ticket and travel and just go to my state and cosmo prof store for normal price. I find it sad that I used to try and get all 10 of my CE courses done in the 2 years at the show since I would learn so much here. I come now and I get the minimum because they are such a waste of money. I will be finding another way to get my CE credits in the St Louis area so I do not have to waste time and money at the show. Especially if it gets more skimpy, I don't know what will even be left for next year. See More

This was my second year at the mccormick. The first year was great, this year however was not. It took us 45min to get into the show, we bought tickets through salon centric. The mccormick employees,... the ones who let you through the door, were extremely rude. I bought my ticket through salon centric, and instead of getting a badge like last year, we got these pink tickets , I felt like a second class citizen. We were stopped by the mccormick employees several times and they made us take out our tickets out of the little plastic thing which was hanging around our neck. Just extremely disappointed. See More

I've been attending these shows for years!
We did have a good time, but I think that was because of the great people I was with!
The quality of the "professional" vendors has really dropped!
With the exception of a few main truly professional companies it was very flea-market.
We developed a rule after the first swarmy dealer kept us at his booth way too long, that any guy that kept winking at us we wouldn't speak to and we would keep walking!
That being said when one shady "dealer" didn't get my attention he got WAY too close and I felt his stanky breath on my face...he got a big F-YOU. This should never be an experience at a professional gathering that you pay $75 bucks to get IN!
The fact that you also let MLM companies in as well really dumbs it down! Example IT WORKS, like for heaven sakes! We are inundated with this wrap crap daily on our facebooks!
There was no great deals, other then on makeup.
The shows used to be FABULOUS!
I really really hope something changes and it doesn't continue to go in this over price flea market direction!
We did however get...a lot of free empty bags.

I'm not sure who's to blame here... but between traveling, parking, increase in ticket price and BIG NAMES in the NAIL industry not being there, I don't know if it's worth it anymore for nails! First ...was Zoya, then Spa Ritual, now OPI is not there!!!! What??? It's one of the biggest names ever and they are not there?? Huge disappointment! samples from the vendors are nonexistent ...and as always, very few options for classes for nails, and basic, nothing for the advanced nail tech :( I also noticed that in the past few years, the show is always on the weekend with the daylight savings :( See More

After 27 years of traveling to the ABS I want to stay positive but things have drastically changed since the Rosemont days. There used to be countless distributors now there are just 2.. 3 iconic bran...ds were missing Pail Mitchell, Goldwell Sebastian,as well as Swartzkopf, Framesi. very little organization for registration, 45minutes! The show is half the size and shrinks every year hardley any samples it seems Salon Centric and Cosmo Prof are just out to make money the deals really aren't so great! Thank goodness for the few small booths that are not in their monopoly they were really the most interesting! Still thrilling to see the greats in our profession Sam Villa,Van Council,Tom Osborne,Michael ORoark, Brian Hurson and so many more is one of my main reasons for visiting every year. This year did not disappoint! Center Stage Is the best part of the show, as well as the competition there is more to the hair show than samples and free bags and deals, it's nice but not the reason I attend, nothing will ever be like the days in Rosemont they were the best ever!!! Thank you Americas Beauty Show for another year of motivation!!! See More

Had a blast! Great education; learned both business and technical advice, excited to have seen top hairdressers in the industry and when shopping, the sellers were always well-educated and answered qu...estions very well. Fun running into friends! Looking forward to next year! See More

Love getting inspired. Wish McCormick Place was a little easier to get to and maneuver around but it was still fun. Too expensive for ticket price and parking combined! Should be less. What a great to network and mingle with fellow artists! ❤ See More

I have gone to several Chicago shows and it seems like every year there are less on stage shows and more shopping. I would like to see more product lines come and do hair at there booths instead of shopping areas. And for the McCormick place the bathrooms were terrible this year especially the main bathroom right outside the parking garage. I know there are a lot of people that attend but they could keep on bathroom's better. See More

After years of attending this event, this year was a mess.... Booking of room was incorrect via ABS and their booking company (address wrong), late go airport transfers to mc cormick center, these are... just a few. Good thing the show is always amazing!!! But the hotel and shuttle service need attention! See More

I was losy for an hout before finding someone who could actually help find this place. Disappointed in a lot of small vendor products. After finally making full round of the layout felt it was much congested.

Visit EVERY booth. Get info. Take it ALL in. You never know where you'll end up in this industry. This is a great place to prepare, network and find resources.
It more than shopping, it's amazing!!!
