Two weeks later and thanks again to everyone for participating in the Cottage Grove Half and 10K.
I have been producing events for 25 years and mai...nly mountain biking, so injuries are more common, like two hospital visits for a 100 miler for stitches or a collarbone out of 350 riders and some other injuries that are bound to happen at some point. Well, this injury was freaky, to say the least when the dead limb hit Melissa around 12 pm 2 weeks ago.
After reaching out early finding out info is a balance between family privacy and wanting info to pass on to all of you who have sent me e-mails or social posts expressing concern.
This morning the register guard reported on the event and long recovery for Melissa and a way to help her come back.
We now have an opportunity thanks to her close friends to donate to a fund to make a difference in her life. We have a goal to raise this money and please share with your friends and family today and help a wonderful person get back to good health.
Lets push this goal over the top this weekend!
Please share with your personal pages and company pages and anyone you know that enjoys the outdoors!
