Coventry Housing Authority hosted an "End of Summer FUN DAY" event for their children residents who attend a free summer program. The event was to celebrate a great summer and to reward the children. Coventry Police Off. Medeiros and Domestic violence advocate Brooke Darelius participated in some of the events. The most exciting event was a water balloon battle royal. Off. Medeiros and Miss. Darelius stated they had an amazing time with the kids and it was a good change in pace from the everyday police work. Members of the Coventry Police Dept. look forward to building a better relationship within the community and strive to make a positive impact with everyone we meet.

Coventry Police Department, RI added 5 new photos to the album: CPR/AED Recert 2016.
This past week members of the Coventry Police Department attended our annual training and recertification in CPR/AED. Every police officer, animal control officer, dispatcher and civilian employee take part in this training. It is our goal to ensure that our staff provide the best possible care for our residents and anyone who may visit the town of Coventry. Our officers are often the first ones on scene and must be proficient as well as confident in their life saving skill...s. Although every call is different and levels of stress may vary the overall goal is the same. We want people to see a Coventry police officer and feel comfortable in knowing that they are well trained and prepared for what ever may be thrown in their direction. Our vehicles are outfitted with AED's, NARCAN and other life safety equipment that could make a difference in someone's life. OUR officers are ready to make a difference.

Joel Johnson5starI grew up in Coventry, my mother (June Johnson) was town clerk for many years and my father (Jerry Johnson) was elected ...to town council in 1978, but died in office in February 1979. My kids spent most of their childhood growing up there too. We will always have fond memories of that special town. See More
