My teenage daughter researched and found this place as a Spring activity to get into. We don’t have another facility to compare it to as this is our fist experience with mixed martial arts facility, b...ut the staff here is great, the set up is pretty neat, the coaches appear to be very knowledgeable and super cool and the students are made up of a nice mixture of the young & old from beginners to experts. I've been a student at Crazy 88 for over 6 years. When I started, we were in a small practice space that doubled as a furnace. I have watched this school grow and prosper into what it is now- the pr...emier martial arts academy in the Baltimore area. Coming up over the years, I've seen teenagers turn into World Champion athletes, normal everyday people get into the best shape of their lives, and I watched a guy nicknamed "The Devastator" follow all of his dreams to find success everywhere he goes. One of the best decisions I ever made was coming to Crazy 88. I believe that an essential building block to success is discipline and confidence. This is the expectation at this school. I can honestly... say I have developed life long relationships, habits and behaviors that will carry me to success as a jiu jitsu practitioner, but as a man. I remember traveling from gym to gym thru out maryland to find a real gym with real muay thai and bjj training but when i stumbled across crazy88 owingsmills not only was i welcomed in like family in ...a great friendly environment i'm meeting new people on my own skill level an also training with higher ranked what i love most is theres no ego's no attitudes no matter what you want out of Crazy88 to pursue all way to the top in pro fighting like myself of just for self defense or just a great gym than crazy88 owingsmills definitely has it coach jon delbrugge and coach connelly are the best! I was getting bored with my regular workout routine (heavy lifting and steady state cardio). I'm so glad I joined Crazy 88. I didn't have any martial arts experience but everyone made me feel welcomed... and didn't have a problem showing me the ropes. Nobody has an attitude here. Definitely a TEAM atmosphere.
