Let's show some love for The Marching Chargers. They're an awesome group. They bring the music to every football game. What would a football game be without the "horse"? C-H-A-R-G-E-R-S #ChargerNation

INDIANAPOLIS- Members of the Crest High School Poultry Evaluation Team placed 11th in the National at the National FFA Convention this October. Members of the team are Katelyn Ogren, Carlie Ogren, Ashley Ellis and Lauren Eaker. Katelyn Ogren and Lauren Eaker were both gold emblem individuals.
The event was held in conjunction with the 90th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. Dr. Valerie Gunsaulis with Tyson Foods served as superintendent of this year's event. The ten individuals and the national winning team members received cash awards to recognize their success in the event. The cash awards and the poultry evaluation event are sponsored by Fieldale Farms Corporation, Newly Weds Foods, Inc., Tyson Foods, Inc. and U.S. Poultry & Egg Association.
The National FFA Poultry Evaluation CDE is a competitive event that tests the participant's ability to select top quality poultry and poultry products needed for successful production and marketing. Event participants must complete a written exam on poultry management, evaluate classes of live birds for eggs and meat production, evaluate quality of eggs, and evaluate and identify parts and products.
Each team competed at local and state levels for the privilege of representing their state at the National FFA Convention & Expo. This event, held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, is one of many educational activities at the national convention in which FFA members apply classroom knowledge to real-life situations.

The Crest FFA Veterinary Science team had a great day at the state contest in Sanford. Our team placed second overall in the state and was a great group of students to work with. We are proud of their accomplishment.
