THE 2011 DAVID CROCKETT EXHIBIT AT THE HISTORIC MENGER HOTEL IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS.
Many have asked me about more info on the David Crockett Exhibit in 2011. ...It was held at the Historic Menger Hotel in San Antonio, and it was put together by Carolyn and Gary Foreman of Native Sun Production, Indiana. The Crockett letter from October 31, 1835, which was on display, was a loan and - as I am informed - private owned by motion picture director David Zucker of California. The rifle shown was the rifle David Crockett had from 1803-06, until he sold it when he was about 20 years old. The rifle is normally on display in Knoxville, Tennessee at the Museum of East Tennessee History. The rifle is today owned by Joe Swann of East Tennessee.
