Today I witnessed a veteran receiving his service dog, Atlas. What a great surprise to him and his family. He was clearly very happy to receive this gift; thanks to Custom Canines and to American Wa...rrior Initiative! I also saw another dog that was in training. Handlers were very professional and dogs very much loved. Great job! See More

I have a PTSD Service Dog raised and trained by CCSDA - she is incredibly well trained and does her job well. So many places promise to provide an inexpensive service dog -- but when I dug deeper I fo...und complaints that the dogs were partially trained. I believe that people who need a Service Dog for their disability are better serviced by a non-profit organization like CCSDA than people who seek to profit by providing service dogs. But, there are not enough dogs trained by non-profits because funding to support these organizations is limited. Please, please consider making this your cause - learn more and then provide Custom Canines your regular financial support. See More

I have been blessed with the opportunity to be part of the raising process for a few puppies from this organization, they are absolutely amazing and loving dogs. The care, time and training that is gi...ven to them is outstanding. Their work comes from the heart and the desire of helping people who need a little extra paw :) See More

I just graduated with my service dog from the Owner Trainer Academy and I can not say enough great things about how amazing Custom Canines is! The trainers are all super knowledgeable and willing to w...ork through specific issues for each team. It's a really supportive environment. It's incredible to see the difference in my own life and others from having a trained service dog. If you are looking for an organization to support, this is it! See More

Sounds like a great organization. Are your 'scouts' also checking shelters and rescues for puppies that would be good candidates? I know there are 4 lab rescues in WI alone that can't keep up with t...he amount of homeless dogs..... See More

Great people with a big heart volunteering to train and provide service dogs for people who need them.

Thank you for visiting the Facebook home of Custom Canines Service Dog Academy. While we encourage everyone to share their thoughts and opinions, please be mindful of doing this in a respectful manner. Also, be aware that if you are posting concerning the legitimacy of Service Dog usage or advocating for the "purchase" of any sort of canine credential online without training - your post will be removed and you will be blocked from this site. Custom Canines Service Dog Academy... has a mission to enhance lives through the use of specially trained canines that are matched with their working partner. We do this at no charge and with the dedication of many puppy raisers, volunteer trainers, and through the financial support of our community, fundraisers, and grant awards. Any devices used to undermine those properly trained and credentialed animals are not condoned, advocated for, or promoted through Custom Canines and we will not allow their promotion on our page, dedicated to our mission and serving our client base. We also will not tolerate any discussion or disrespect in regard to the work that we do, the clients we advocate for, and the individuals that lead and volunteer for this organization. We thank you for your cooperation.

What comes to mind when you hear the word "volunteer?" According to Merriam Webster, a volunteer is “a person who expresses a willingness to undertake a service.” Being a volunteer means that you are offering something-something that's not required nor an obligation.

You don't volunteer in the pursuit of a money or recognition, you volunteer because the optimist or perhaps the idealist inside you spies a glimmer of hope. You see that your time is worth it. You believe that yo...u are capable of inciting change and making progress. In some way, large or small, you are capable of doing good.

Please take a minute and explore the possibility of becoming a volunteer for Custom Canines. You can become the change you want to see in the world and in the process, change not only your life but the life of a Veteran or somebody with disabilities.
