D1 is awesome. There are lots of places to workout...but few places have coaches who truly care about each person...on an individual level.

That's what keeps me coming back!

Well done!!

They closed the gym and didn't tell anyone why!!! No communication at all. Must have been a corporate thing because the staff would have given the shirt off their back for everyone of the members.

Don't go here for physical therapy. I went once and was promptly told that I couldn't schedule again because they wouldn't have anyone in town the following week. I tried over 10 times to reschedule a...nd every time I called, I got a voicemail and it said to call back in a few days because no one was in the office and it said to not leave a message because it was never checked. So unprofessional. In addition, when I finally got ahold of them weeks later, I was told I couldn't reschedule because I wasn't going to therapy on a consistent basis and insurance wouldn't cover it anymore. Such CRAP when I had been trying for weeks to get an appointment! Pissed off beyond belief, would not go here! See More

We love D1!!! Our whole family (me, my husband Brent, and our daughter Lily) train at D1 Columbus. Lily has been attending the Rookie sessions for a few years. Her running form, quickness, strength... and confidence have improved tremendously, to the point that she recently made BOTH her school's travel basketball team AND her club volleyball team of choice - and they moved her up to the 12's team (she is 11)!! The adult boot camps helped my husband achieve the highest level of fitness that he has ever experienced. The knowledge level of the trainers helped me get back into shape after breast cancer diagnosis and a double mastectomy - I had to modify a lot when I first returned after surgery and the trainers were so caring but still pushed me to improve - Lance and Chuck are amazing! Manager Brian is a class act and keeps the place running wonderfully. D1 is the perfect place for families that want to be active and healthy together! See More

For years, we’ve heard that there are two primary types of cholesterol on a standard lipid panel that really matter for heart health.

The first one is the low-density lipoproteins (LDL) or “bad cholesterol,” which you want to keep low. The other type is high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or “good cholesterol,” which you want to have as much of that as possible. Right?

Well, recent research has suggested that the relationship between HDL cholesterol and cardiovascular disease is ...more complicated than previously believed. In fact, having high HDL may not necessarily mean that you’re at reduced risk of having a heart attack.

This blog post takes a closer look at the important nuance in the HDL discussion, and describe how to keep yours functional. Click below to learn more! https://buff.ly/2ollYk1
