***HURRICANE MATTHEW UPDATE***
Slow-moving and powerful Hurricane Matthew is moving...
toward the north at around 7 mph. The storm should continue its northward motion, with some increase in speed, through Tuesday night.
Beyond that, latest forecast guidance has trended more to the west and by Wednesday, Matthew should be moving along a path to the NNW.
Although there continues to be UNCERTAINTY with regard to the eventual track of Matthew, there are some signs that this system MAY have a direct impact on E NC during Saturday.

- Comrades, I am a member of Charles Harbel Post 892 in Allegany, New ...York. I would like your support in getting a resolution pushed through this year's national convention to change our eligibility requirements so that ALL honorably discharged American service veterans be allowed to join the American Legion. I have heard a lot of misinformation concerning this. It does NOT take an Act-of-Congress, but only action on the part of the national American Legion organization. If anyone has a reason why they think this should not be enacted, I would love to hear it. The closest thing that anyone has been able to tell me to date is that "being a wartime service organization adds prestige to the organization". I don't see how discriminating against our fellow veterans ADDS prestige. Thanks for listening. See More
