Woke up way earlier than I normally do today but got to see this beautiful sunrise because of it.
"I'm back, baby!"
Here's a little throwback to PAX East this year when I did an Overwatch shoot, it's Bubbles Cosplay as Tracer!
Stopped to take a photo of some fall colors on my iPhone before all the rain rolled in yesterday.
It looks pretty but I wish it didn't have to get so cold.
It's so rainy outside, I wish I could go back to Colossalcon and all the sun!
Here's Stella Chuu as Judy Hopps and Bindi Smalls as Nick Wilde from Zootopia!
I've been so bogged down by everything going on for the last few months that I've had a really hard time getting myself to sit in front of the computer and finish any images that I shot in my free time.
Hopefully this is the beginning of some new found motivation!
This one's Danielle DeNicola as Thresh from League of Legends at Anime Expo!
A little walk around with Athel Rogers and the Leica Q today in Boston.
Thanks Leica Camera & Leica Store Boston for the loaners!
Danielle Beaulieu in her Death Knight from World of Warcraft!
We spent a couple hours hiking around that day and she was convinced she was going to slip and die so she spent a bunch of it butt scooting around and managed to make it out alive.
I was going through my library today and found this one from Colossalcon this year when Fushichō Cosplay was assisting so hard she needing an assistant to keep her hydrated.
I've done a lot of traveling in the last couple of years and have been interested in different setups for packing my gear and clothing. Among the bags I've come across in that time is the Slicks Backpack.
SLICKS was nice enough to send me a Slicks Backpack with the available accessories to do a review. My initial impressions are very positive regarding the apparent quality and materials of this bag.
Look for that video soon!
This shoot was a bit crazy and much faster than normal because I was about to hop in a car and head back to Phoenix but we really wanted to squeeze in a few photos before I had to go and we managed to work it out.
So here's a photo of Meisha Mock as Nidalee from League of Legends at Anime Expo!
Another photo from the Colorado trip of Jessica Nigri in her Necromancer Totoro by Zach Fischer Illustration!
This one's 22 images stitched together!
What's your favorite camera bag or bag that you've repurposed to hold your camera gear and whaddoya bring with you?!
I am absolutely obsessed with having different bags that are best suited for different purposes and I have a habit of not using traditional "camera bags" to transport and store my camera gear.
My favorite bag to this day that I've repurposed to carry my camera equipment is the Osprey Raptor 14. It's got 14 liters carrying capacity, weighs under 2 pounds, and ha...s a hip belt with pockets. It's enough space to bring:
- Nikon D810 body + Tamron 24-70 2.8 attached
- Tenba BYOB 9 inside which I've got:
- Nikon 20mm 1.8
- Sigma ART 50mm 1.4
- Nikon SB-800
- Yongnuo flash trigger set
- Set of colored gels
- Three extra batteries for the D810
- Three extra SD cards
- Peak Design Slide camera strap
- Fenix PD35 flashlight
- External battery pack (15,000mah) for charging electronics
- 8xAA batteries for SB-800
- 4xCR123 batteries for PD35
- Moleskine notepad
- Fisher Space Pen
- Uniball Jetstream pen
- Sometimes a reflector strapped to the outside of the pack using the compression straps
And after all that I can still strap a jacket on to it in case where ever I'm going might end up getting cold.
I love seeing what interesting ways other people come up with to carry their stuff and what tech they keep in their bags so please share your favorite setup!
P.S. I've got a couple giveaways coming up too!
Here's a throwback to last year at LCS in New York City when Ladee Danger did her Captain Fortune from League of Legends!
