Today is a day to prepare, not to panic over Hurricane Irma. Don't freak out. Monitor Denis and the ABC News weather team. They'll tell you when it's time to hunker down.

Coastal residents and mobile home residents, you should plan now where you're going if you have to evacuate.

Many stores are out of water already, but shipments will be coming in all week. Stock up when you can. 4-5 gallons per person in your house.

Fill gas tank, locate insurance papers, make sure your flashlights, portable fans and radios are in working order. Get a car charger so you can charge your laptops, phones, etc. if the power goes.

Prepare, but don't panic!

Hurricane Matthew keeps tracking west. That's bad news for Florida. Now is the time to plan for a possible evacuation if you live in flood prone areas or a mobile home park. Figure out where you are going if ordered to evacuate.

Hurricane Hermine is a rain event, as opposed to a wind event. That means lots of street flooding today and tonight. Please stay off the road unless you really need to be somewhere.

AND Don't let your kids play in flooded streets. There are snakes, rats, human waste and downed power lines in the water. It is nasty stuff!

Finally -- to the redneck yahoos who want to drive through the streets in their pick-up trucks making a big ass wake -- THAT CRAP FLOODS PEOPLE'S HOUSES! PL...EASE SHOW SOME COMPASSION AND STAY AWAY!

Be safe everyone and HUNKER DOWN!

People aren't voting for a President. They're voting AGAINST a President!

The U.S. presidential election may turn out to be one of the world's biggest un-popularity contests.

Overheard at a Tampa Bay Rays game: "The visiting team always seems to have as many fans as the Rays do. I swear, we could be playing ISIS and they'd get fans here."

I'm still in Guatemala, but I am getting word a Hillsborough County Sheriffs Deputy has been killed in the line of duty. Head on collision Wrong way driver on the crosstown. I hope I am wrong.

Incredible week so far on Lake Peten, Guatemala's largest lake. A place where they still travel by dugout canoe and wash their clothes while standing waste deep in the lake!
