Your organization is on my SEFA donations again this year, making it year #4! Sorry, that's only how long I've been working at my current employment, or it would have been longer lol...
I totally bel...ieve in what you do. My mom was an immigrant from the Philippines in 1965, and when my parents divorced, there really wasn't anything around like this to help a woman like her get on her feet and into the workforce, to help her gain the tools she needed to support herself. (Luckily for her very proud children, she was a very resourceful and hardworking woman, and did it anyway 😍)... Anyway, here's to women like my mom finding themselves having to go back into the workforce, and for those DFS serves for whatever reason... Get out there looking like a million bucks, ladies!

This is one of those situations t...imes X10!!! There is a World Wide organization started by a local Tulsa girl that is doing great things for the women of the world.
Mission:
The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Company Overview:
Dress for Success Worldwide, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, was founded in New York City in 1997 as an answer to the needs of low-income women who are seeking employment and self-sufficiency. In the same year that Dress for Success was founded, the welfare overhaul set time restrictions for public assistance recipients, which in turn quickly forced heads of households into low wage jobs. Because of the rapid increase in the number of poor working women, they became an underserved segment of society and many lacked the skills and support to retain their employment. Our organization stems the underlying cause of cyclical poverty through grassroots programs that produce long-term solutions. Dress for Success has responded to the needs of the women that we serve by providing professional attire, career development tools, and a network of support to help women succeed in work and in life.

I've cleaned out my closet and found over a dozen suits/dresses to donate... Actually, closer to 2 dozen... They are bagged up, and I didn't count them before placing them inside the bag... Many items... have never been worn, with price tags still attached... Average price per item is about $75... You want people to donate, but you charge them $40 to have items picked up to be brought to you, thereby losing the ability to help over a dozen women Dress For Success!!! SHAME ON YOU!!! See More

I have clothes to donate and it seems the program is only interested in money. I read somewhere clothing donations were done once a month for a few hours. I was trying to find the exact time since thi...s Saturday is the only time they'll take donations but every time I click the link to donate clothes it gives me a story. The link to donate money works just fine though... See More
