The Brewery is closed this week, so no growler fills or bottle sales. You can find bottles in stock at the Viroqua Food Co-op and KEX in Gays Mills. We're on draft at the Driftless Cafe, American Legion, Rooted Spoon and Dave's Pizza in Viroqua and Old Oak Inn and County Gardens in Soldiers Grove. Enjoy the warming weather and stop by again for growler fills on March 8-9. 🍺🍺🍺

We were blown away by the quality of the two beers we tried here. A milk stout, and a saison. The saison was frankly amazing! We really enjoyed meeting the two guys who run this joint as well. Their m...eticulous attention to detail really comes through on their brews. I'd absolutely recommend going out of your way to check this place and its tasty beverages out. Very excited to see what lies ahead for Driftless Brewing! See More

Chris and his staff were extremely outgoing, hospitable, and definitely knew their stuff. It was awesome to see how passionate everyone is about the brewery and their future plans! The beers were grea...t (try Sky Ace if it's available!), but the company and conversation were even better. For our first time in Soldiers Grove, we were treated like regulars. Will definitely be back and bring friends/family! See More

One of my favorite breweries ever, and not just 'cause they're my friends and neighbors! I LOVE beer, and am very exacting with what I like. To echo a previous review - if you are a beer fan, you'll f...ind something to like about any Driftless beer you try. However, my FAVORITE is Dirt Brown. Literally one of my top 5 favorite beers ever. See More

Great beer brewed by people with true passion and love. Their brown ale is excellent, as is the Sky Ace Lager. Take the beautiful drive over and grab a growler!

Thanks everyone for helping stop this bill yesterday---the legislature did listen to local citizens, brewers, distillers and wineries. We now have a more sane proposal to move forward WITH our input on revising some of the antiquated laws regarding alcohol production in WI. Cheers to all of you!🍺🍺🍺

The bill would also create new type of liquor permit to suit Kohler's distillery venture.

Here we go again. For those of you who support small breweries and other alcohol producers in WI, please contact your Senator today and tell them to oppose SB801. This legislation, similar to the bad bill from last summer, is being proposed for vote TOMORROW with no input from anyone in the WI Brewers Guild or other representation of small craft breweries.

From the WI Brewers Guild: The “liquor czar” bill also has now been expanded to include a special permit that exem...pts a single multi-million dollar resort from the laws and regulations to which all other alcohol beverage producers in Wisconsin must abide. This “resort manufacturer” permit would be limited to a resort that includes at least 300 guest rooms, at least one spa, and a 36 hole championship golf course. This is protectionist policy at its worst. It is a favor given to one wealthy business at the expense of the small businesses that blazed a trail by building their businesses from scratch and played by the rules that applied to all.

For local folks, contact Senator Jennifer Shilling at Email: or Telephone:

WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY! This is terrible. Yet another attack on small alcohol producers in Wisconsin. The Liquor Czar has been resurrected with a vengeance includes a carveout that would give one of Wisconsin’s wealthiest families advantages and opportunities that no other alcohol producer, small or large, would be able to enjoy. This is Crony Capitalism at its worst. This bill is scheduled for a vote FRIDAY morning in Madison. Call your State Senator TODAY and tell them NOT to support SB-801! DO NOT HESITATE!

Wisconsin's needs to do a broad but speedy rewrite of its complicated liquor laws and then step up enforcement of them, a top GOP senator said.

Thanks to all of our fans for being a part of this movement---this success is also helping the communities that have craft breweries grow economically as well!

Corporate goliaths are taking over the U.S. economy. Yet small breweries are thriving. Why?

Why we love Soldiers Grove:

For those of you who've visited our brewery and heard the story of how our building was a part of the historic Solar Town story of moving the business district of Soldiers Grove after decades of flooding in the 1980s, this is a 20 minute video of the story through the eyes and voices of local residents. We're proud to be a new part of this history as our building once housed the old IGA that was moved to be part of Solar Town. The local citizens, here and around the Kickapoo, chose this sustainable option rather than focus on "controlling" the river through projects such as the La Farge Dam (now the Kickapoo Valley Reserve). Soldiers Grove is our community and we're glad to be a part of the economic development that will continue to help our village grow and prosper.
