The old fans are probably aware of this by now, but some of you might not be. So here it is:
I am a lone dev. I do everything. I do gfx, animations, trailers, video editing, music, sound effects, ambient, voice over, copyrighting, coding, design, social media managing, promotion - everything you can think of - I do all by myself. But a day has only 24h and I am a father and a husband. Aka - my day is a lot shorter than most of your. Even when I am working as a GameDev full time.
So put it bluntly - it is normal for me to go and vanish for days or a week without a trace. If/when that happens - do not feel alarmed or start thinking I had ejected myself from the scene. In 99% of cases that just means that I am busy with work and I avoid distractions. Just that. That 1% is when I get a mental breakdown and I am drowning in depression, but that tends to happen rarely nowadays.
Also - if I am free - I always try to answer and reply to each and every possible message, comment, feedback, email. And I do that instantly. If I don't - it only means I cannot do that right away and all you have to do is just wait a bit. Don't worry - I'll get back to you. I always do.
Also, because I live in central Europe - most of you are sleeping when I am screwing around. And the other way - I sleep when you are active. Bear that in mind.

No... Not this shit again...
What does this mean? Well, in case you don't know polish (and I assume you don't) it says "Your HDD is working badly and is about to die" aka "yup this shit again".
I really don't have luck for Hard Drives, do I? Well, at least this time I have time to secure my data... But still... You know what it means? Let me explain.
...Being forced to buy a new HDD (AGAIN) and spend money I would rather use on GameDev is not the real problem. The real problem is recovery after this mess. Because it means reinstalling Windows. It means reinstalling dozens of software. It means writing down a list of everything I have right now (And I have A LOT) and then reinstalling all of that, one at the time. And once everything is installed, I have to setup it up, check the options, configure. For each and every software, each and every program.
Or to put it bluntly - around a week or two: wasted. Just when I am in the middle of making the video game of my life. My final masterpiece. I had (had) so much fun. So much joy of pure creation. Joy I did not had from years. Passion, that I feared, that was gone, never to return. Two of my biggest fictional loves, Horror and Science Fiction. Melted together into a construct never seen before in the industry. But not. Apparently this has to be taken away from me. 1-2 weeks of non working on a game, for a lone IndieDev are often very lethal, very dangerous.
I am struggling to not break down into tears. I don't know which emotion is driving me more crazy right now. Anger, or sadness.
I am just sooo... tired.
