Having more fun

So as its mental health awareness week, I feel a heartfelt post is needed. We all know someone who suffers with various degrees of mental health issues, as well as ourselves. It can strike anyone at anytime. It's great that it's talked about more and more, however, there is still not enough done about it, still not enough help out there. So I can truly say that being part of ERD has helped me cope with my own issues. Playing roller derby has honestly picked me up when I’ve be...en at my worst, it's a welcoming space for anyone to find their place to belong.
I love my team and the support they give, they are an extension to my family.
We have our up and our downs but we will always find a way to show our love for each other and the sport.
Never feel you don't have anyone to talk to, there is help out there and amazing people to support you.

Look out for posts from the Jr GB team page of our awesome skaters from New Bournes Junior Roller Derby We are so proud of all our Jr skaters and how much they improve everyday, they inspire much of the adult team to try harder, also alot of the Jr's hit harder than the adults!
I'm genuinely scared when they are old enough to play in the adult team! I may retire then or buy alot more padding!

What an amazing weekend of Men's Roller Derby! Go England!

We are very proud to have some of our ERD players there helping out! Sorry now for the long post but we are so proud of these guys!

The amazing John Hesse is out there snapping away behind the camera (can I just say it's hard to find photos of him as he is always behind the camera).

The absolute awesome Sez Who aka Sarah Hesse is social media Queen! And by the looks of things finding cute baby's to hug.

Hesse aka Kira Hesse is doing a great job of promoting the Juniors team GB along with a bit of filming by the looks of things.

Elle Hound aka Lydia Bayes is part of the brilliant coaching team for team Spain, I'm sure she would have made them do a burpee or two in the run up to the World Cup.

And last but by no means least is our newest recruit RiDdick Yule! He's been been doing all the volunteering behind the cameras filming and loving the team wrangling. Dan looks to be have the best time ever at the World Cup.
