If you're curious about the kind of projects you may be doing this summer, here's a snapshot of what Project Worker Henry Parker and his project partner Aline Aronsky got up to with their school library.
"Aline Aronsky donning her head band ready to catalogue a small mountain of books at Tsimbalo Secondary School. This was done on our second day at the school to help give us a better understanding of the school's needs. Our inventory allowed us to work out exactly which text... books the school needed more of. It also saved us a lot of time down the line; after we had finished building a new library for the school, we were able to refer to our inventory to quickly organise and shelve the books which had previously been stored in a locked cupboard"
You can get stuck into projects just like this, applications are still open! But, deadlines are looming, you still have two days to send in your application by midnight on 10th November!

Bonding with your school is one of the greatest benefits to come out of your summer with EPAfrica. The time you spend in your school gives you a chance to bond with pupils, teachers and parents, as well as your local community. This makes your job much more fun and gives you a chance to really get to the heart of the problems these schools face, in a way you just can't do with a shorter amount of time.
Susanna Peden has written a blog about what it's like growing attached to... your school, and the pride you feel towards your projects as you come towards the end of your summer!
Applications are still open! Deadline is 10TH NOVEMBER AT MIDNIGHT
EPAfrica prides itself on the partnerships it forms with rural secondary schools, and considers it an essential part of our model for sustainable change. In order to make sure our projects stay sustainable, we like to visit previous schools for a chat and take a look at how the projects are getting on after our PW's leave.
We love to know how our previous schools are getting on, and try and keep in touch with them wherever possible!
Project Worker Rob Hughes, who headed out... to Uganda this summer, visited Nombe Secondary School to catch up with them and see how our projects were working out. You can read all about it here!
Applications close on 10th November at midnight!
We will keep you updated with news and events coming up over the coming weeks!
Curious about what your first week with EPAfrica will be like? You can read all about it!
