On a walk with… Amadeus!
“Amadeus enjoys eating anything you hand to him and you can get him to do just about anything if there is food involved. He is also crazy about getting his muzzle scratched.” What's your dog's favorite spot to be scratched?
On a walk with…Lia!
“Lia was a stray in Mexico and was rescued by a wonderful local nonprofit in Santa Rosa, Compassion Without Borders. She was found in a parking lot at about 6 months of age. Her sister Rosey was also rescued from Mexico by the same organization about two years ago.” Her favorite activities include playing and running with her next door neighbor Finnegan, playing fetch, snuggling and playing with Rosey.

"This is my dog Bruiser and he is the love of my life, my best friend and my saviour. I adopted him from the Oakville SPCA in 2003 when he was 10 months old. He had been abandoned on the street.
About six years ago Bruiser kept coming up on my bed and pawing and poking at my neck and armpit with his paws and nose. ...After a few instances I noticed my lymph nodes were swollen and went to the doctor. I found out they were swollen because my body was fighting cancer. My thyroid had multiple cancerous tumours on it and he knew and was trying to tell me. He literally saved my life. I rescued Bruiser and then he rescued me.
He brings me so much joy and I love him so much. He is a perfect example of why adopting and rescuing a dog is one of the most amazing things we can do as humans. Bruiser is going to be 15 this year and he deserves to win this trip.
