In ancient Greek mythology, the writer Homer described a place called Elysium, which was a land of perfect happiness at the end of the Earth, on the banks of the Oceanus. Moraine Lake fits that description. This image is titled Elysium, because it is a location that, when experienced, inspires emotions of awe, reverence, wonder and joy that cannot be described by mere words. This photo was created with 27 individual images that were stitched into one giant 488 megapixel panoramic photo.
