Our final project in 2017. Andrea your new roof looks great with the new siding. A special thanks to Jeff Smith with JBS Carpentry. Three layers! Lots of dust and oh what fun those Cedar shakes are. Jeff is really giving back you can reach him at 612-986-3864 to thank him for being a great business who does a quality job at a fair price. Jeff has been doing our ABWK roofing projects for several years now. Thanks to Croix Valley Pickup for supplying the dumpster at cost.
Well Gary and I got 2/3 of Jenette's home painted today. Down to one long side, trim, and installing skirting an lights. Need 2 volunteers for 2-3 hours on
'Tuesday the 26th of September at 10 AM. This is our last project of the year. If you can spare a couple of hours let me know (651-329-3644). Thanks and may the Lord bless your day.
Ok painting is about complete. Thanks Matt Siver for stepping up to the plate. Today it was all ABWK Board members working together to drive this to completion. Matt, Gary, Donn and Razz went at it with the end in sight. Another hour or two and we'll turn it over to the roofer. Thanks to all who help make this happen.
Those few spots were all that got painted. This project needs a crew of 5 or 6 for half a day to get this project finished. It starts with a leader interested give Razz a call at 651-329-3644.
Paint day set for Saturday 2nd of September. Not to late to get in on the giving event of your summer. This Stacy project is comming to a close and so are are opprotunities to particapate. Call 612-229-9369 to join the fun. Thanks Matt Silver for leading the project.
A special thanks to Gary Cottrell who just couldn't give up finding volunteers for this project! He used his influence with his Main Street Church Family and determination to get this home complete. New front window, siding repairs and replacement, and a fresh coat of paint. Donn Arnold took the project over from Gary and balanced family obligation with his strong desire to honor the Lord and got this project complete dispite the rain. Gary Beecher is now legally blind so it was very important for us to restore it to its' original beauty. God's people came together on this and were protected, blessed and loved.
This old tired house is on the mend thanks to strong leadership, devotion and respect for the Lord that project leader Dave Freemore showed thru out the week as he contended with rainy weather and a low turnout of volunteers. Persistence and a get er done attitude from project volunteers and family helped us complete the siding installation phase of this project. After a short break we will be returning to paint and bring back the beauty old this home. If you missed out on helping stay tune for more details.
The Wisti family is so proud of their home makeover and there are only a few hour left to finish their facia. They seem to have fallen for their Project Leader in a big way. I'm very proud of my son Eric Rasmussen who lead his first ABWK project. Godly man!
God blessed us with some great weather and an eager crew. Good weather expected tomorrow and with another eager crew the house will start getting painted as well. For those who missed mission week we will be scheduling additional work days to finish our summer schedule.
Well things in Stacy are finally progressing a bit faster. Even though volunteers have been very difficult to ID. Looks like we're going to have to change the name to mission weeks. Sure hope the Spirt become infectious. Two of the 5 projects have been posponed and the other three will likely not finish by Saturday. If something opens in your schedule let it know, thanks.
