A big THANK YOU to everyone who has purchased an East Van Cross in the past year. We are all sold out of crosses online. To date we have raised $3000 for Pivot Legal Society. Pivot Legal Society challenges laws and policies that undermine the dignity of those most on the margins or that intensify poverty and social exclusion. There are still some copper crosses available at espace d if you missed your chance to purchase one.
East Vancouver! Please share this and help us save Le Marché St. George from being threatened by the city to be shut down. Sign the petition here -> http://www.thepetitionsite.com/…/save-le-march%C3%A9-st.-g…/
Hello amazing neighbours and friends of Le Marché St. George we need your help!
Because of the complaints of a single neighbour, the city may be forced to revok...e our seating permit and ability to do most of the things we love to do, essentially resulting in our closure. We are looking for letters of love and support. If Le Marché has impacted your life in a positive way please write a letter to the city and bring it to Le Marché by Thursday night. The letter should include your name, phone number and address and your signature.
We would love to help City Officials understand what places like this mean to neighbourhoods and community. Maybe it will even change the archaic bylaws?
