Like all of you, we're excited to celebrate 4th of July this weekend. But unfortunately, the holiday accumulates firework debris and other trash on many beaches..., wreaking havoc on our coastal ecosystem.
Here's what you can do: Bring a bag and pick up after yourselves and organize a cleanup to protect the beach you love. It's that simple.

Join us for a very rewarding beach clean-up followed by lots of fun in the sun! We'll provide gloves, reusable bags, and hand sanitizer. All you have to do is bring your awesome selves and possibly a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, sandals & shoes (easier to walk in the sand), towel, and a refillable water bottle. We plan to hang out at the beach all day, so please come prepared!
We'll be joining forces with the following organizations (If you'd like to attend and have your group... acknowledged, please let us know - the more, the merrier!):
★ Huntington Beach Surfrider Foundation
★ Drains to Ocean
★ Coastal Playground
★ Orange County Coastkeeper
☼ 9am-12pm: Beach Clean-Up *OPTIONAL, but we'd truly appreciate your help!* (Be sure to claim a fire pit early if you plan on staying after sunset!)
☼ 12-1pm: Lunch (We'll have light snacks, but be sure to bring food/money to keep yourself fueled!)
☼ 1-6pm: Fun in the Sun (Music, Frisbees, Boogie Boarding, Kandi Sessions...you name it!)
☀ Bring out the LED hoops, poi, and gloves! (Whether you're just learning or super advanced and want to teach it forward, we'll be taking some epic slow-shutter shots for you to share with your friends!)
☀ 6-10pm: What?! 9 hours of fun in the sun isn't enough for you? (If you claimed a fire pit, be sure to pick up after yourselves on your way out. FYI: Beach curfew is 10pm - pack it up, pack it in!)
(Note: We will be located at Huntington State Beach Tower #2 off of PCH and Brookhurst Blvd. Parking is waived as long as you arrive before 10am and say you're there for the beach clean-up.)

Looking for something to do on Sundays?! Well look no further! Eclectric City is all about bringing people together for a good time and a good cause.
★ Fun & Games: Show off your skills at Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, BattleBlock Theater, and more! We'll have separate TVs for Wii, Xbox, and even N64. Feel free to bring your own table-top/video games to add to the mix.
★ Free DJ Lessons by Milk Karton DJs: Learn the foundations of mixing on vinyl, including turntable mechanic...s, popular music theory, beat matching, EQ mixing, and more. Please bring headphones if you have them. After 7pm, one of the MKDJ members will get an opportunity to spin a set for everyone to groove to!
★ Gloving/Flow Arts Meet-Up: Whether you're just starting or looking for a place to practice, we've got you covered. Get pointers and learn new moves, all while supporting our awesome local artists.
★ Community Sign-Ups: Each weekend, we will be partnering up with various causes such as beach/park clean-ups, soup kitchens, donation drives, etc. The more of our friends we can get involved, the better!
★ 9-10pm Stand-Up Comedy Hour!
