As part of our Earth Day weekend, the Cortlandt Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) will be giving away FREE reusable shopping bags (while supplies last) beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 22nd at ShopRite Rte. 6/ Cortlandt Blvd. and at Super Foodtown (Rte. 9A/ Albany Post Road near Amberlands). The CAC is encouraging the public to shift way from the use-and-toss culture and help reduce plastic bag use. It was a pleasure to take part in the Ribbon Cutting event on Saturday to welcome the River Outpost Brewing Company to our area at Charles Point along the Hudson River. Happy to see Head Brewer Justin Sturges cut the ribbon with Captain Lawrence owner Scott Vaccaro. Thanks also to Lou Lanza and John Sharpe for their commitment to bringing unique locations to our Hudson Valley Gateway community.

I love going to Cortlandt's annual Hobgoblin parade every year - thanks to Supervisor Linda Puglisi and all her amazingly dedicated recreation department and volunteers for giving our kids a great day and lots of fun, candy, music and trophies!
