Friends! I value my Grand Forks community and the state of North Dakota, and believe that we need new voices in government who will work to build resilience, fight for inclusion and equity, and improve the lives of all North Dakotans. I proudly accept the endorsement of District 42 Democratic-NPL to run for state Senator.

I am a North Dakota farm girl who left the state and chose to come home to ND to live and work. My family has deep roots in rural ND in agriculture, educati...on, and entrepreneurship, and we all work to keep our local communities vibrant.

I am an educator. My work days allow me to engage with students, teaching language, cultural competency, and communication skills. I champion the humanities and the arts as a way to understand ourselves and the world around us.

I am a listener with experience in collaborative governance. I chaired the University Senate at UND, and also the Humanities ND Board. I worked to bring efficiency and accountability to governing bodies to get things done.

I am a catalyst, keen to develop city-university relationships, augment research and workforce development, and foster our vibrant community. I value relationships and working within a team.

This is who I am. These are a few of the reasons why I chose to run for Senate. I ask you for vote and support to send me to Bismarck as the District 42 Senator.
