#SPONTENTIONAL
Why the birthday parade works.
A word I’ll use to describe the spontaneous and intentional moments that we are choosing right now. A word I hope we continue to choose. •Why being SPONTENTIONAL matters more now than ever:
It matters because we are experiencing time in a new way. Evaluating what we have while feeling uncertainty for what we might not. It is a forced pause that presses into our hearts and challenges us to be in the moment not in a fleeting causa...l way -but in a loving meaningful way. A pause that causes a stirring in the heart to do the thing God has nudged you with right now- because it is meaningful. •Why being SPONTENTIONAL works:
It simplifies loving acts. It both frees up the intentional hearted friend to go for it in the moment while freeing up the spontaneous to have meaningful impact - at the very same time. •Why SPONTENTIONAL needs to be a word that sticks:
We need a word that encourages the actions we are free to take, the calls we are free to take, the letters we are free to write -
The love we are able to share in news ways that even social distancing cannot contain because- yes: we need to do our part to stay apart- it is the right thing to do but is is not the ONLY thing to do. We need to proclaim that the hearts do not have to be apart- and by being #Spontentional we might be 6-12 feet apart in space but our spirits are closer than ever.
