Want a little help building your confidence to speak up? Comment LET'S TALK in the comments below
Thank you so much :-)
Our natural inclination, after hitting a bump in the road, is to stop and assess the situation. This is good. The problem comes in how long we make that assessment.
All too often, we allow our "transition time" to last weeks. Months. YEARS. Tell me I'm not the only one who waited years to finally open up my mouth and speak. You too? High fives to ya!
Heres the thang, contrary to popular belief, success does not come to those who wait. Success is a daredevil who likes to ju...mp on moving trains for the fun of it.
How long have you been "assessing" your situation with no action? How long have you been sitting on the sidelines watching every opportunity go by because you let some crazy thought like "you don't know enough" get the best of you?
It's time to make the moves with what you've got! You can always pick up more knowledge along the way. And here's the truth of the whole matter...you will NEVER know everything. There will ALWAYS be more to learn. WHAT?!!! Where's a mic to drop when I need one?
Make the choice today to stop allowing those nasty thoughts to keep you from showing up in your full greatness today.
Need a little help with that? It's one of my fav things to do. Set up some time to talk with me so we can shed some light on what's really stopping you from speaking up and sharing your awesomeness with the world: https://workwithcoachella.as.me/speakyourtruthspotlightsess…

Sometimes we try SO hard to do things perfectly that we end up getting in our own way.
Recently, I was working with a client who was having this very issue. There was something that just wasn't working in the piece we were working on. I had asked her to use a new voice technique to change how the sound was coming out of her mouth. But, in her effort to be perfect, it just wasn't working.
There's one thing I always say to people I'm working with: you gotta be willin' to go th...rough the ugly to get to the pretty. The sounds I ask people to make sometimes I realize are quite foreign to them. But as they tense up and try SO hard to get it perfect or sound good the first or even 3rd time, it falls splat.
They don't want to sound ugly. They don't want to make the mistake. But oh, what happens the minute they let go! Everything suddenly works. Not perfectly yet. It's still new. But it works.
That fear of making a mistake in front of people can be incredibly unnerving. But that's the safety of working with a coach and with a group that is there to help you. Never any judgement. It's amazing the things that can happen when we let go enough to allow people to see our vulnerable side.
So how are you feeling about getting in front of people to share what you have with the world? I've got a spot in my calendar for you. A FREE 20 minute Spotlight Consultation where we'll discuss where you are right now, where you want to be and how Your Voice Success can help you get there: https://bookme.name/EllaGlasgow/spotlight-session
