The Silent Sun
Genesis

The silent sun that never shines
She is the warmth of my lonely heart...
The motion of a turning wheel
Can't you stop it and look around?

Baby you feel so close
I wish you could see my love
Baby you've changed my life
I'm trying to show you.....

A tiny stone that hides from me
Can't you see that I'm just outside?
A mountain stream that chills the sea
Can't you feel in your useless pride?

A Blend of 2 images from our shoot this morning at Coalcliff. 8 mins for the sky and sea, and 1/4 sec for the foreground. Nice to get out on a Sunday morning, and a great turnout from the South Crew to join me.
Hope you like "The Silent Sun"
Cheers, Mike

Ghosts
David Sylvian

When the room is quiet
The daylight almost gone...
It seems there's something I should know
Well I ought to leave but the rain it never stops
And I've no particular place to go
Just when I think I'm winning
When I've broken every door
The ghosts of my life blow wilder than before
Just when I thought I could not be stopped
When my chance came to be king
The ghosts of my life blew wilder than the wind

Going back through some of my shots from previous shoots today, and found this one. Went to shoot the inside of the Opera House a few weeks ago, and I arrived about an hour early, to see what I could come up with outside the OH. Usually us Landscape togs spend our lives revolved around depth of field and pin sharp (where possible) images from foreground to infinity. To do this, you generally have to shoot with a tripod.
This day, my intention was to shoot handheld, using intentional camera movement, whilst shooting with a slow shutter speed.
I knocked off a few, but, even though I was getting the intended effect, something still wasn't right.
I started over exposing and went up to 3 stops to get this image, whilst turning / twisting and moving the camera in and out from my body all at the same time.
I reckon the tourists this morning were giving this lunatic a wide berth, as Id say it looked like I was having some sort of a fit or seizure.
Anyhow, I eventually got the effect I wanted. Took me about 25 images and go's, so just like Landscape Photography, you just have to persevere, and keep trying.
Hope you like "Ghosts"
Cheers, Mike
