Had a holly jolly great time attending the Christmas Pops concert this weekend with my 5 yr old son and my mom! As always, the Orchestra sounded incredible and didn't miss a beat. And the Choir, whom ...I'm proud to say my father Gary Wagner (whom ALSO happens to be Executive Director of the Orchestra) is apart of, only sweetened the holiday pot with their big beautiful sound. Overall it was just a great festive night and I would highly recommend taking in a performance by #ThePhil if you ever have the opportunity. You won't regret it! See More

Last night attended the pops, specifically the Halloween Bash and it was Incredible! The musicians in Evansville philharmonic are top notch as is the meinstro. Also the added touches of a chior and ...Legacy Dance Co. and audince perticipation made the concert memorable in the best way possible. Also it was so refreshing and touching to see all ages and walks of life experiencing the arts, something becoming lost. Now I'm no cultured music critic or large fan of classical music but love films and the art of La Motif. So to see my local philharmonic perform my favorite film scores live is magic in itself. I can't wait for the next pop review and might need to see what the Evansville Philharmonic is planning for Christmas. See More

World-class musicians in a classic theatre setting makes for a unique, romantic night out that transports you out of Evansville and into another realm where music touches your soul and rejuvenates you...r spirit. The best entertainment option in Evansville for the price. We are lucky to have such a wonderful, high-caliber orchestra in our small river town. I'm so excited for our "Experience the Phil" season which offers a little something for everyone! See More

Our family has gone to The Evansville Philharmonic Peppermint Pops every year for at least 10 years. It has become a family tradition that we all look forward to. Great musicians in a beautiful, grand... old theatre. Start your own tradition, the tickets are very reasonable. This will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit. See More

The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra is a sparkling jewel in the heart of the Midwest. Every concert of the 2013-2014 season was spectacular! From the world premiere of "quick silver" on opening nigh...t to celebrate maestro Savia's silver season, to a killer rendition of "the look of love" in the closing James Bond pops concert... Every concert was an exquisite work of art.
Being a Christmas fanatic, one of my favorite moments of the season was the encore performance of "the prayer" during the peppermint pops concerts, and of all the wonderful traditional songs performed... "Sleigh Ride" was the best of the Christmas season!
The most thrilling musical experience of my life was getting to be a part of the Gospel Night pops concerts! The fabulous Evansville Philharmonic Chorus welcomed singers from local churches to sing with them for a truly awesome concert worshipping the creator of music himself.
As I said before, all of the concerts were spectacular but nothing compared to Mahler's Resurrection Symphony!
When reading over the program on opening night I immediately thought that the resurrection symphony sounded sad and not very interesting...
Oooohhhhh how wrong I was! I was so enthralled and enraptured by this performance I cried like a child and rose from my seat with the rest of the audience in a standing ovation that was absolutely deserved!
I am now a new devoted, life long fan of Mahler.
The EPO brings such a beautiful, exciting, therapeutic, and perfect musical joy to the Tri-state.
I love attending and highly recommend you do so as well!

The offering of the Young People's Concert for elementary students gives them the opportunity to see a live orchestra performance in the beautiful Victory Theatre. So appreciate the chance for our st...udents to attend an affordable concert and see the orchestra instruments in action! See More
